“Fraudulent wine list”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

We ordered the "RavensWood LODI Zinfandel"for $ 35.00. When the wine arrived we were shown the bottle which indeed was RavensWood Zinfandel. Fortunaly for us we noticed that it was a regular bottling which is available in wine stores for $7.00. When we pointed out the discrepancy the waiter came and told us it was the only one they had, We asked for the manager who arrived and told us this was the only Ravenwood they ever had. He became very peeved and rude when we tried to discuss it with him. $ 21 is a more than adequate price for this wine in a restaurant. Although they show the bottle to the customer it's very easy to miss the fact that it is not a LODI bottle. The manager shown no contrition nor inclination to correct his wine list. This misleading practice plus hostile attitute of the manager more than offsets whatever qualities the menu has. Not only are we loathe to ever return but we will pass this information on to our friends. This no wa to run a business.

“Updated review of great food and service at reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

We visited Campagnolo on February 28, 2013. Reviews from 2 years ago could not have been more wrong. We were warmly greetd by Jimmy, a Long Island expatriate who knows how to please his guests. We missed the Early Bird which included wonderful choices for under $13 for a complete dinner, but the Special Menu for $17.99 (less 15% discount for cash) included excellent salds and soups, a choice of chicken parmigiana, marsala or francese, veal parmigiana or marsala, mussels, tilapia, shrimp or sole, eggplant rollatini or parmigiana, or a sensational veal chop milanese, with a side of pasta or vegetable, beverage and dessert (we had the best cannoli we have ever had). Portions were huge, and take home bags mandatory for most guests that evening. Server Jude, who did not even have to write down our orders, recited some great sounding specials, as well, and service was not "Who gets what?)". And by the way, wines and cocktails are a meager $5 a glass. This s a class operation, and has no relation to the place described by the naysayers of two or more years ago. With subdued lighting and tablecoths, this could be fine dining at incredibly low cost.
