Beautiful drive over to Boca Grande, easy and free beach access all over town, great place to hunt for small shark teeth. Nice town with good food!

“Beach Paradise in Old Florida Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

This beach is one of the most beautiful ones on the gulf coast. The sand is white and there are a ton of shells to love through. There are decent restrooms, a really neat lighthouse that you can visit and the water in some areas is great to fish in. Have to watch for the undertow and also sharks are sometimes seen here as well as the gentle manatees. My husband was fishing in water above his waist and a manatee ran into him - startled him but no harm done. It is extremely hot there in the summer. Spring is nice, but if you go in the summer, go early and take water or drinks because you'll need them! We love the town of Boca Grande - it is an old Florida town, but is very upscale and folks who are lucky enough to live there are mostly very well-to-do. Quaint shops, big prices - $78 for an infant dress in one shop! Also in the area, is a great little restaurant in the old train station - Loose Caboose. Fresh grouper is amazing but like the rest of the town, pricey - about $40 for lunch. Definitely visit - you'll love the ambiance of the area and the beauty of this fine gulf coast beach.

“A corner of paradise .”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

The Island of Gasparilla, the town of Boca Grande, and the beaches on it are a well kept secret on the Gulf Coast. Just like all the beaches to the north, these beaches are beautiful white, on the agua blue of the Gulf, and full of shells. We bypassed the quaint little village of Boca Grande, a mecca for the golf cart and bicycle crowd, and went out to the end of the Island. We St.Park beaches are well kept and have facilities for showering after a day in the sun. We found LOTS of shells, and enjoyed the scenic beauty. If you're a bicycle rider or hiker you'll appreciate the trail the runs many miles along the road on the Island. It's well worth a visit.

“Nice beach. Very quiet.....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

During my stay in Boca, I went to the beach several times and enjoyed my stay. The beach is quiet and clean. I was there over the winter months and the beach was not busy. You have to pay to get onto the island ($5.00) so most of the trouble makers are not going to bother. I would rate this beach 3.5 stars if I could based in comparison to the many other beaches I have been to all over the world. Very family friendly.
