“Shop and Dine”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2012

Coco's Kitchen is located at the mall on Key Deer Blvd in Big Pine several blocks west of the highway and the traffic signal and thirty two miles east of Key West. Is a great place to eat if you have a lot of shopping to do ( groceries, artwork or clothes) and don't want to make dinner after you get home. Plain, simple and small it only has a few tables and a counter area for its customers. The servicers are quick and friendly. Its soda fountain style counter and tables are decorated in a simple manner. Coco's is set up to serve you quickly and efficiently. We had dinner there last week after several hours of loading up on groceries from Winn Dixie and shopping at the Beall's Outlet. We ordered several Cuban dishes which were served promptly on plastic plates with untensils. We found the meals good and the price very reasonable. CoCo's is all about convenience.

“Best Cuban food - anywhere?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2012

Coco's is a local institution, frequented by residents - and somewhat hidden away from the road, so that it's not crowded by tourists. The place is small and basic - you almost feel like you are in someone's private kitchen, which is almost the case.

The Cuban staples are simple and absolutely scrumptious - Ropa Vieja, chicken fricasee and especially the whole fried snapper. Try them with Coco's special Mojo sauce.

In fact, the place is so good that it was recently featured on a show on food network.

We always eat dinner here once and come for coffee many mornings - love to watch the roosters! Have for many years. Service is consistently good and friendly.
