Good luck finding this place without a GPS. We only happened by on our way to the Old Wooden Bridge Cottages. In fact, it is only a block from the Old Wooden Bridge; so if you’re staying there, plan to have a meal at the No Name Pub at least once. Not only because the pizza really is very good, but also because of the added benefit not having to drive (wink wink).
When we walked in, we were met by the same attitude that you encounter throughout the keys; if you’re not a local, then you get an absent smile and nearly vacant service.
The Royal Pub pizza seems overpriced at $18.99 for a 12”, but it is delicious. Cut into 8 slices it could easily be shared by four people. My only complaint is that soda refills are not complimentary. Absurd, but not the end of the world.
Yes, nearly every inch of available wall space is covered by signed or otherwise decorated dollar bills. We excused ourselves from this particular tradition. You’ll notice that many bars throughout the Keys (and Florida in general) similarly decorated.
The food is expensive, but it is good.
If you’re staying on, or visiting Big Pine Key (or No Name Key), include the No Name Pub in your plans. However, I wouldn’t make a special trip.
