My family tent camped there for four nights. We were in a great spot right on the water with an incredible view. The staff was friendly and fantastic. The bathrooms and showers were clean and the water got nice and hot. This was the first time we stayed there and it definitely won't be the last. The place is GREAT! And the best part of all it were the frequent visits by the natives to our site...the Key Deer.

I came here in college and still coming to fishing lodge and my kids are in college now. Spent some of the best times of my life there. Love the relaxed atmosphere, the sparkling clean bathrooms with endless hot water, the surrounding waters are amazing, the shop has everything, the full time campers are charming and quirky and welcoming, the boat dockage is fine and you are in great waters in 2 minutes, nature trail is great, Easter is great for the sunrise service and Christmas dinner is special.....love it and miss it

We love this place. We camped here last year while my wife was pregnant, and came back 18 months later and brought our son with us. This time we stayed in the efficiency room which was perfect for what you need in the keys. It was very clean, and the staff could not be more helpful or accommodating. The nature walks on site are fun, and seeing the Key Deer stop by throughout the day is always fun, especially for little ones. They also have fun events which are great for the family. And the pool is amazing!! Beautiful, clean, and perfect temperature always! For the price and location (15 minutes from Marathon and 45 from Key West) you really can't beat it. We will be coming back here year after year.

Room Tip: Book early, especially during the summer months

We stayed here for three days in one of their efficiencies. The room was clean, air conditioner worked great, and the kitchen had a tv, a full sized refrigerator and stove, complete with pots and pans and dishes and utensils.
The staff was very friendly, as were our fellow neighbors. The store had pretty much everything you might need and was reasonably priced.
We had friends who were staying in a camper and had a boat, so we went diving for lobster every day we were there. We limited out each time! Our grand total was 37 lobsters!
The key deer came by each night to say "hello" and it was lovely strolling through the campground. There is also a playground for the little ones.
The pool was clean and the area was large. We did partake in some family activities, which were fun.
The entire campground was clean, safe and large. It is perfectly set up for families.
Just down the road is a Winn Dixie and other shops, and some really good places to eat. I recommend Big Pine Key Restaurant.
You can make a day trip to Key West which is just 25 miles away.
We will definitely come back here with more family.

This resort is incredibly well run! And it is kept very clean! Customer is number one. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable! Location is spectacular with tarpon fishing and lobstering right outside the camp. The resort offers dockage, gas, and a well stocked store. Many other amenities like a super pool and resort run events for the family. We've been coming to the Keys fir 25 years.... Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge is our favorite place to stay.

we were supposed to stay here 3 nights this weekend, we got there and were there 30 minutes and left asking for our money back. its more like rows and rows of close together trailers, very few water sites. besides the water around the camping area was gross. One big shower house for the entire campground with fligt of stairs up to it so if you cant climb stairs, or are tent camping and have to go in the middle of the night FORGET IT. you are out of luck.. And forget paved roads anywear including no pavement at your campsite. for 84.00 a night to park my pop up camper this just wasn't worth it. giving it 2 stars because if you have a boat, its convenient to go out fishing from here, plus when I left they gave me a refund no questions asked. but there are way better places to stay than here. looked like a trailer park with some sites had 20 people on it partying.. just avoid it, why go on a vacation to stay in a place like this. Id rather stay home..

Room Tip: my best tip I can give you is to stay somewhere else

Our whole stay of 4 nights was incredible. The room was squeaky clean and the staff was ever so helpful and nice. This is an ideal location to stay whether you are fishing or just taking in the sites and for the price, it would really be hard to beat. The only hiccup was the air condition malfunctioned on our first night and they offered to put us up in a hotel but since we were pretty tired and the room temperature was confortable enough, we decided to stay. They even brought us 2 box fans. When we checked out, to our surprise, they refunded our first night back to us. They have activities each day for the kids and movies each night in the rec room, even had a banana split social one night. Too much more things to do to list. Can't wait til next year as we're planning to take the kids and grand kids
