Baldwin is a quaint and quiet town that reminds one of Mayberry with Andy Griffin and Barney as Sheriff and Deputy. The town is small and gives the distinct impression that no one is ever in a hurry nor do they ever see the need to be in a knot like city slickers. Folks are friendly, mind their own business, and have a pride in a long line of ancestry that dates back to Civil War times. Most people have relatives that have passed on the stories of the South and are sure to pass them on for generations to come. The town has one elementary school, one middle school and a high school. The elementary school Mamie Agnes Jones, has a B rating and is Duval county run. Their after school program is especially impressive with the YMCA involved. The country life-style is what Baldwin is all about and a nearby horse ranch, Diamond D., is well worth saddling up for and enjoying a nice trail ride. If your nerves are fried and you want to unwind in a truly authentic "Maybery" town, then Baldwin "will suit ya right well".
