My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. The resort/motel is on the ocean and it was a great place. The room we had was like a small apartment. Separate bedroom, kitchen and living room. Lots of storage too. The place was very clean and quite nice for the price and location. Close to all in Miami Beach area. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They had a continental breakfast that was very nice, fresh and abundant. It's a great place if you have kids because of the kitchen area. There are also 2 pools which were very nice as well. We didn't want a very expensive place as we'd really just be at the beach all day.

We stayed three nights before a cruise. We found everything in we needed in walking distance. We took a bus to South Beach and the Bay. It was a cheap form of transportation. The place is older but very clean compared to the B/W Airport hotel we stayed in on the way back (which was more expensive). The price is right. The rooms are clean. The bed is comfortable. The location is great. I 'd stay here again. I would choose it over the other hotels we have stayed in.

Took a chance and just stopped by for a 2 night stay after a cruise. Had read about the property on Trip Advisor and some reviews were not that favorable. But those folks must have different expectations. We received a nice discount on a suite room for just the two of us-separate bedroom with TV, living room with 2nd TV, kitchen and small dining area. Could even see the ocean from a small window in the BR. Free expanded cont. breakfast (very good- cereal, fresh fruits, bagels and pastries). Free daily paper, free parking and no resort or other extra fees. In safe area of Bal Harbour/Surfside. Walk to Publix market and restaurants. Also to BalHarbour upscale mall. There was a city maintained walking path along the ocean front beach right outside the hotel. Lifeguarded beach connected to to hotel. Two swimming pools- one heated; very warm. Free Internet in lobby incl Wi Fi. Staff and housekeeping very pleasant and friendly- Always saying HI. Have many awards on wall from Best Western and AAA for cleanliness- with which we totally agree. This is not a fancy-dancy high rise resort but a nicely renovated and maintained 1950's 2-3 storry motel with all the ammenities mentioned. About a 20 minute drive to South Beach if you want honky tonk area overruun with wild kids, hip-hop cars and overpriced restaurants.

We just rerurned last night from a week at the Best Western Oceanfront, Bal Harbour, and the overall feeling is that it was a great vacation. The weather was great and the hotel satisfied our needs for this particular trip as long as you understand that a Best western is NOT a Hyatt or Fairmont hotel, not even a
Sheraton.

The location is great, right on the beach. Try to get an onceanfront room - there are not many - and you can enjoy the scenery from your own private balcony. A lot of rooms have ocean view, some have pool view (noisier during the day) and some have no view.

Not too much construction in the area at the moment so it's nice not to see cranes and whatnot. There is vegetation and sea grass between the hotel and the beach which gives it a "tropical" feeling.

Our room was large and clean, the furniture was ok. This is an older place, probably built in the 50's.

Full kitchen allows for cooking your own meals however, there are many restaurants around. We noticed that the prices are high but that's expected since the hotel is in Bal Harbour, which is considered a nice/upscale neighbourhood.

Continental breakfast is included but we prefered having breakfast on our balcony and bought our own food at the Publix, one block away.

There is a computer in the hotel lobby and you can access internet free of charge. A nice touch!

The cleaning staff is on the slow side and we often came back from the beach, late afternoon, and the room was not cleaned yet, eventhough we had asked that the room be done before 2pm.

Again, this is an old hotel but the location is great and the area is safe, we thought. We would go again.
