Here are few things about this hotel.
1. If you enter address in GPS, the correct city is not Bal Harbour, it's Miami Beach
2. Location is very good and it's on the beach!
3. Breakfast is very nice and reasonable.
4. Parking is $20/night
5. Everything is simple inside, but you have full kitchen and plenty of space.Publix supermarket is right there
6. Staff is not very friendly. When we arrived I waited 10 min for receptionist, then we were literally kicked out at 10.45 am since check-out time is 11.00 am.
7. Do you reservation on-line. When I called this place they said that they are completely booked, and the guy did not want to talk to me. I went on-line and booked 2 rooms.

Booked this hotel based upon the overall reviews and were not dissapointed!! We found the staff pleasant and helpful, although did have some diffuculty getting the right number of towels in the room each day. Not a big issue, but was good for a chuckle each day! Location is great! Its a 20 minute bus ride to South Beach which was fine for us. We enjoy the action and activity in South Beach, but don't want to stay in it all the time. The Miami-Dade Transit system is easy to figure out and you can easily travel to whatever you want to see and explore. We had a water problem with our room on our last day and were quickly upgraded to a different suite in the hotel. We understand that these things happen, and appreciated the quick service and accomodation by the staff. The complimentarey breakfast is basic, but more than ample for most people. Bal Harbor is a mere 5 minute walk away and there are some very interesting stores along Harding Street. I would definately recommend this hotel to my friends. Its not a 5 Star property, but its clean and well organized...value for the money is definately seen.

Advantages: Great location, almost on the beach, very close to Bal Harbour Shops, supermarket and restaurants. Room was very neat, cleaned every day. Very quiet even with a parties outside, satisfactory sleep quality. Breakfast was nothing special but ok. Very good price-quality ratio. Family friendly.

Drawbacks: Parking is too expensive ($19,6 per day). Old furniture. Far from SoBe (only if you interested in spending your days there - there's a bus stop in front of the hotel, 40 minutes ride)

We booked a suite, but the room was not ready on time. The staff didn't seem to really care whether you waited or not. There was plenty of staff just standing around. Others in the hotel lobby seemed to have the same attitude as we did. No shopping within walking distance from the hotel as was advertised. The place is a little old and run down but they are keeping it clean. They said it was recently remodeled but that was probably within the last 30 years. We were glad of a place to stay once there, but had we had more time to book would have chosen another location with better beach access, shower and walkway. I love Florida for the water so a little disappointed with the grade of the beach to the water. My Mom didn't want to take the chance of the slope.
