“The best choice when staying in Bal Harbour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2011

This hote/ spa/ condo is rather beautiful. The primary rooms are decorated beautifully. The views are the best I have seen in a Florida hotel. The views are unobstructed, the 2 large pools have sun all day and the beach is large and private as this is the last hotel/condo on the strip. It is situated next to the cut where the boats go from the intercostal into the ocean, so you see so may beautiful boats. Across from the water is a public park so they can never build anything to obstruct the views. We had a beautiful one bedroom suite with views through and through. There was a lving room and a small din ing table and a small kitchen. There was alsoa powder room in the entrance area and the master bath was gorgeous and quite large. There were 3 tv's in the suite as well. We got welcome macaroons upon arrival, and a crib was waiting for our grandaughter, with a little stuffed bear inside. Everything was in good condition and we liked the decor very much. Kind of a contemporary feel with asian touches. Until the St. Regis is built this is the best option.

Drove down for a short getaway. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and acommodating. Our package included a free room upgrade "if available", a one day cabana rental and breakfast. The room upgrade was taken care of before we even asked. We relaxed all day at our poolside/ocean side cabana which included a fruit tray, soda/water, and our own spa. Every place we went on property was spotless. The bed in the room was so comfy we didn't want to leave in the morning. Our only issues were some confusion over which breakfast was included (there were several buffet options) and not being informed of the parking fee when we checked in. Overall, we truly enjoyed this hotel.

I recently toured this facility and it is magnificent. The lobby is very warm and welcoming but what really took my breathe away was the view and location! It is a hidden gem located in the luxurious Bal Harbour. The pool area is fabulous and the garden (cabana area) is a perfect canvas for a very romantic and intimate wedding ceremony followed by cocktails. The beach ares is perfect for a sunset beach ceremony or a romantic dinner for 2. The spa is absolutely beautiful and so serene. It has a patio ovelrooking the ocean which is a perfect for a bridesmaids luncheon or a private function.
The sleeping rooms are stunning and very spacious. Being a luxury hotel they will bend over backwards to make your stay a memorable one!

Very nice hotel, excellent staff, very good cleaniliness, the view is awesome. The pool area is quite small but very nice, Unfortunatelly the beach is not good, small, and dirty. The fitness center is excellent.

I liked the building and the amenities. Surprised by the quality of the beach as they don't promote it. However they promote "free breakfast" only to find out that is only for two and charge children $30 per day per breakfast - unbelieveable!! When you book there is no mention of $32 valet charge per day and you can't self park - ridiculous!! I complained when I checked out and was told that a manager would call me - that was over a month ago and I haven't heard a word from anyone. I sent a follow up e-mail and still haven't heard from anyone. Therefore I guess they feel that they have my money and why bother getting in touch with me!! My advice - book elsewhere!!

I booked a room through their website. When I arrived I was given the wrong type of room. I called the desk and they said that it came through the website this way. Nothing they could do, not other similiar room available. So I paid for the nicer room and had to stay in the one with the lesser view. Great way to start my vacation. Nice room, very clean. Staff can be helpful at times. I left something in my car. I called the valet and asked them to retrieve it. It took them over an hour. I had given up and was getting ready for bed when they finally showed. The beach is crowded on the weekends because it is very easily accessed by the public. The hotel is far from the craziness of south beach, so that was nice.
