The nicest, quietest, cleanest beach anywhere! However there is no boardwalk for large stretches of it and no services, rest rooms, or snack facilities. This may be the reason why it stays quiet and clean and personally, I prefer it that way. Parking in the area is on hourly meters and limited.
If you want to get out of the craziness of South Beach, there's nowhere to go but Bal Harbour Beach - specially with kids. I highly recommend this beach if you want to have a relaxing and quiet time with your family.

I disliked that you have to pay the umbrellas and chairs at the beach
We liked the location very much, and the fact that the hotel had a pool and was on the beach. Also, the kitchen was handy. We didn't like the roaches and exorbitant parking fee.
A lot of trash on the beach, To bad it doesn't get cleaned every night. However the all over experience is ok because of the colour of the water and it's the only place with a breeze..
