Very nice menu and everything tasty. They must have had an off night for service as it was slow and they were inattentive to our wine glasses - but generally standards appear high. I give them the benefit of the doubt.
So this isn't the first place one would think of to visit for an excellent brunch, but be prepared to be floored by an excellent, thoughtful, yet quirky menu!
Have now been to Mister Collins in Bal Harbor for brunch twice, both times having a beyond excellent experience. The service was impeccable, the staff both easy on the eyes and wonderfully pleasant. The food, oh, the food. A great combination of the unexpected and the expected. Some of the flavor combinations had me scratching my head but then tasting them was a moment of food heaven. I really have to compliment the chef for the absolutely pleasant and thoughtful for combinations.
The valet is validated ($5) and parking is easy and quick. The views are directly on the Haulover Channel cut, and on a nice day, you will absolutely NOT want to sit outside!

We went and no one was at the reception area, we had to go and look for someone. Also when we left the receptionist who was talking to a friend did not bother to say good bye or anything. She was not helpful when I had to go back to stamp our parking ticket for the valet.
Our waiter was very nice, but it seems to me that the front desk should have someone welcoming you and that evening that someone was anything but pleasant. We will not go back.

On a recent visit to Miami we were looking for a fine dining experience & we totally got it when visiting Mister Collins at One Bal Harbour Hotel.
On our first visit we were fortunate enough to be able to sit outside & enjoy the amazing views. Our second visit was inside where we also experienced a great atmosphere.
The menu was not vast (which sometimes can be a plus) & the dishes that we chose were fantastic (my partner had the red snapper which he highly recommends!)
The service was fantastic, very attentive & friendly. We enjoyed drinks in the bar before both meals, the selection of drinks was great & we also enjoyed some complimentary appetisers with our drinks.
We highly recommend this restaurant.
