I have been to this church a few times over the years. I have attended a wedding here that was mostly in Polish. That was interesting. I also went to the Polish Festival when it was held on location at the actual church several years back. Since then they have relocated the Polish Festival to the Wilmington Riverfront where it can accommodate more people. The church itself is a neat old church built in the early 1900's. It has a marble foundation with grey brick & stone that leads to 135 foot high twin towers. It is not far from the heart of downtown Wilmington.
The Polish Festival used to be great years ago when it was held on location at the church. We used to love the authentic Polish dinners in addition to the seafood that was offered. We would go for the food, enjoy the music & dancing. This year we attended the festival down on the Riverfront. They have rides and such for the kids at night, in addition to entertainment and food. This year they offered lunch a couple days for a few hours. We decided to go to the lunch since it would be less crowded. We were a little disappointed that the lunch menu was limited. They had kielbasa and potato pancakes, but no golabki or pierogi. The fresh kilbasa was good as was the potato pancake. We also got some chrusciki, pound cake and donuts from the dessert table. They were all good. Prices were decent for the food & parking was FREE.
