I'm fortunate enough to work nearby and in the warmer weather I have my lunch in this park most weekdays. The grounds are well kept and renovations are wrapping up in the park.
Staff members dress in period costume, everything from housemaids to militia men, depending on the day.
The trail leads up the escarpment to Devil's Punchbowl. The hike up isn't easy, but you're rewarded with a great view at the top.
Lots of open land and a pavillion to picnic at. It's so peaceful and green that you'll forget that you're in the city!
