4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

See Title. Great location - can't beat. Had to change rooms due to a malfunctioning fridge. But overall, it was the usual great stay. This was our 5th time staying here over the past seven years. Would recommend to family and friends.

AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOU NEED HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE! See below.

It could have just been the room we stayed in, or the timing of a few little league families from a nearby tournament sharing our hotel, or it could just be the subpar facilities. We stayed one night here, during a holiday week in July, and I actually looked forward to leaving.

We stayed on the 4th floor, between the elevator and the entrance to the pool. It probably goes without saying that there was a considerable amount of noise from kids running by, yelling, and the housekeeping coming in and out of the storage area down the hall, as well as the elevator traffic. To add to this, they kept the uncovered trashcans two doors down from our room which left for a beyond foul stench.
We didn't check out the pool. With the kids and the stench, we didn't see the point.

The room itself was very clean, and the AC was perfect. So if you are spending a lot of time in or out of the room, and not coming and going, then you'll be fine. Speaking of coming and going, avoid this hotel if anyone in your group has even minute handicap accessibility concerns. I was actually appalled at how unfriendly this was for people with disabilities. The morning we left we saw an elderly woman sitting in her wheelchair in the hallway snacking on a breakfast muffin. The breakfast room is located up the stairs, in a very narrow hallway. Her family had to go in separately to bring her food. It was actually kind of sad.

THe breakfast was laughable. Continental breakfast is what it is, don't get me wrong. But there were broken tupperware containers, and who knows how old breads and cheap, wrapped danishes. The woman stocking it was very nice and friendly, and even chuckled at the poor spread. I wouldn't mind the selection if it weren't for the cheap, broken equipment she was given.

The location is great, I will say that. Walked 30 seconds to a great dinner spot, Whiskey Beach BBQ, and the beach is just as close. If nothing else, you do get the location for the price of a one-night stay.

Room Tip: AVOID THE FOURTH FLOOR! Unless you have kids, you don't want to be up there.

Continental breakfast was poor, no coffee creamer and no yogurt or water the second day. Food was grocery store bagels and cold cereal. Room was very nice, however. Great little balcony to overlook the city. Pool was nice . The public restrooms in the hotel had no t-paper, no mirrors and had trash in them. Carpets in the hallway were stained. The carpet in the room was clean, though. Good microwave and frig in the room. Bed was very comfortable.

Check-in time is advertised as 4:00pm. Our room was not ready until after 5pm. There was no hair dryer, as advertised. The flusher handle on the toilet was broken, and we only had 2 sets of towels, in a room that could hold 4 occupants. The continental breakfast is extremely limited unappetizing, and the room it is in is not kept clean. The parking garage and stair wells have no security.
Aside from that, our stay was pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Our issues with the room were addressed promptly.
I would stay here again for a long weekend on the cheap.

Room Tip: Ask to not be on the first floor. We wanted to open our window for fresh air, but were afraid to whe...

This hotel has great beach access...its just a few steps away from your room. I stayed here from for 4 nights with my fiance for his birthday. We checked in late and when we arrived the front desk staff was courteous and accommodating. Check-in was quick and painless. Our room was on the first floor and upon entering we immediately noticed that our room looked clean, beds were nicely made, bathroom tiddy. However, we could not overlook the damp carpet & musty stench in the room. The smell was so bad we had to go to K-mart on Coastal hwy to buy candles and airfreshener...which still didn't help much. The front desk couldn't do much about it so we just opened the window and kept the candles on while in the room. We had breakfast one morning which was basic- bagels w/ cream cheese, danish, OJ, coffee, etc.. The shower was open with a small curtain that did nothing to keep water off the floor when showering. The wet bathroom floor and damp smelly/moldy carpet was really annoying everyday. Carpet is a no-no for a beach hotel...its a sponge for filth and bacteria. Oh and noticed a few stained towels...glad I brought our own towels from home. Overall the bed was comfortable, small fridge and microwave was nice to have, and the location was great (close to the beach and restaurants)

the overall experience was a good one, but the floors are very dirty and the breakfast is lacking. Having the 3 beds in our room was really nice. Location is also great close to beach and close dining and shopping. Price as pretty good as well. Would stay again.

Not on the beach, but very convenient beach access. Nice property. Tight parking, but it was convenient and enclosed. Very nice staff. We had some issues with hot water for the shower and breakfast items were fair. Would stay again.
