“Nice restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

Good seafood choices. Service could be more friendly. Good raw oysters choice. Nosy and crowded. Good happy hours deal every day from 4 to 6.

“Happy Hour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

My brother recommended this place for pre-dinner appetizers and drinks. In order to get the appetizer specials, you had to sit at the bar, so he went early and got us some space. We ordered steamed clams and oysters at half the price. They were delicious. Our bartender, can't remember her name, was excellent! She was very chatty and personable! It was a nice experience for some appetizers and drinks before dinner.

“Busy place with some tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014 via mobile

The oysters and fresh fish are the highlights at Fins. Both were prepared nicely-- tasted fresh. Good variety of food beyond that. Interesting sides and nice mix of food options on the kids menu. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The place was packed early on a Thursday night. Waited 45 minutes for a table for 4. Lots of big parties were waiting well over an hour.

“Just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

Since it was early and we were all hungry we decided to eat at Fins Fish House & Raw Bar because there was no wait to be seated. We were seated upstairs near the bar at a table that was a bit small for the 6 of us. Decor is nothing special. Although we told the server immediately that 2 in our party had severe allergies to nuts and peanuts she did not offer us their allergy menu and she brought bread to the table even though it contained nuts. We asked her to take the bread away and explained no one would eat it because of the severe allergy. We then asked for the manager because 1 in our party was not comfortable relying on our server's knowledge of the food preparation. The manger offered the allergy menu (we did not know they had one until she offered it). Meals were fine. Tuna nachos were good, but small portion for the price. Calamari was ok, not the best, not the worst. I had the lobster and crab salad as my entree. It was good, but not so good that I have to go back and have it again. Entree prices were in the $22-$29 range. Typically there is a long wait for a table after 5:45. IMO it is not worth waiting to eat here.
