“Lobster + Mac and Cheese? = A+++”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

You must order the Lobster + Mac and Cheese! It was delightful. I had the Shrimp dinner and they were huge! Our meals were prepared and delivered to the table quickly, but not at the expense of quality - all our dishes were top of the line quality fish from the tuna to the lobster. Our service was great and courteous. The place was packed - off season too! Thanks for a great dinner at a great price!

“Great food,drinks and ambiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

Even on the last weekend in September we had a 45 minute wait: it was worth it. We started out at the bar and tried two terrific selections of their draft beers. When we sat down, we started with a pound of steamed shrimp and a salad. Then, we had crab cake sandwich, a Cioppino (which could have used a bit more spice), and excellent Mahi Mahi. All portions were generous and well prepared. The Bloody Mary was super and the only downer was a skimpy serving of Chardonnay for $13! Service was very attentive. Overall an outstanding evening.

“Good, but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

This was an unplanned stop. We were out and about exploring and stopped here because of easy parking. The placed was packed for a Monday off season night, but we did not have a problem being seated right away. At first glance, the place was dirty. Food all over the floors, and tables just wiped, not really "cleaned". My husband ordered the steak with gorgonzola cheese, garlic mashed pots and mac and cheese. I ordered fried osyters with a side of tater tots. Hubz place was enormous, steak was cooked as requested. He said the potatoes were "ok" but the mac and cheese was good. He said his meal was only warm, and could've been hotter, but he was pleased overall. I was disappointed with my oysters. Being right outside of Chincoteaque Va I thought they would've been a little better quality. These were 6 of the smallest oysters I've every seen. So small that two of them was like eating a crispy coating with NO oyster at all. I would been embarrassed to bring them out honestly. I mean if they were that small, then they should've given more. The tater tots were a little too brown and just sitting in grease. Service was just OK. We had to ask for ketchup, cocktail sauce and napkins. Our drinks were never offered for refills and sat empty at the table. We would return back only if there was no wait and if I didn't have a hankering for oysters. A side note, we were seated upstairs where there was ample seating. There was only two of us and we were seated at a table in the line of foot traffic directly in front of the bar and wait station. We felt as though we were sitting in the middle of someone's living room uninvited. We seem to get this a lot whenever we go out, maybe because it's just the two of us?? IDK

Great oysters, nice wine list and good food for decent prices. We would definitely go back! Oyster shooters also a delight.
