Good beer, good fod, good service, good prices during Happy Hour. Arrive early if you want to get a stool. It is a local favorite.

I would eat here more often except for the wait. No reservations and always a wait in season. That said, I've never had anything but an excellent meal here and the staff has really got it together. The drinks are good and it has a nice atmosphere. This is where like to take out of towners to be sure they have a great meal, at least in the shoulder season when it's not too crowded.

They have a great Happy Hour....4-7 Mon-Thursday 11:30 to 7 Friday and Sunday.

On a Thursday night in Oct, not crowed, good service, great meal. The secret is that they have a terrific full time menu--good variety and well-prepared dishes. Then they supplement that with their specials. The standard seafood chowder was good and hearty with small shrimp, scallop, crab, and more. The special Shrimp & Scallop Fra Diavalo was a sizeable helping, well (not over-) spiced with big pieces of scallop and shrimp. A top-notch selection of seasonal beers from very respected creaft breweries are available on draft; including Smuttynose Pumpkin, 21st Amendment Zambo, and Evolution Exile ESB.

The service is prompt, courteous, follows up, and pays attention. They remain an excellent choice for good seafood when in the area.
