“On it's way back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014

Currently being renovated floor by floor and room by room. Our rooms have always been clean, organized, and fresh smelling.

AMAZING front desk staff, always very polite and professional from start to finish.

Amazing location to Main Street Rehoboth, the beach, restaurants and shopping.

Room Tip: Definitely spend a couple extra dollars on upgrading to the suites with a separate bedroom. Well wo...

My wife, and pups and I enjoyed our stay at the Breakers. They have a few specific rooms that they allow pets into, so if you are not into dogs, you will not be exposed.
The rooms are clean and convenient to the main shopping area, and just a few blocks from the beach. Nice balcony (or terrace on the ground floor) overlooking a park right across the street. Nice to walk the pups there.
In retrospect, I might have pressed for a better deal, being off season, but eh...
If I might leave one suggestion, as this is ground floor, open to the outside parking lot, would be to have a floor mat inside and outside the room, as sand gets easily tracked inside between cleanings. It was important we have rest during our stay.
We enjoyed a nice quiet stay.

Room Tip: Pets friendly rooms are ground floor off of the parking lot. Staff will reserve the correct rooms f...

Didn't have high expectations, but shocked by lack of basic "hotel" amenities. 1) No place to park for luggage unloading; therefore I had to wait in the car w/ 2 young kids while husband had to lug all our stuff through the parking lot and up the stairs in the dark. Made for a miserable way to "unwind" after long car ride. 2) I thought hotels had closed hallways… this place doesn't, doesn't that make it a motel? 3) Pool has very strict hours and wasn't open when we could've used it (after we arrived at night, nor in the morning). 3) They need to be forthright with the fact that the complementary breakfast is a few blocks away, at another hotel. Massive inconvenience with 2 small kids. We had to drive and got lucky to find a parking spot. 4) I find the "lake view" claim to be misleading. Technically, it may be a lake, though it looks like a little swamp of standing water. 5) There were loud partiers who were not made to be quiet until after 2 am. And I think it was due to another guest yelling at them to be quiet. Didn't appear that hotel staff did anything about it.

Stayed here in the off season for the marathon in December. Price was a bit high for what you get - but its classic supply and demand - not many hotels (lots were closed for season) and proximity to the beach.
the hotel itself is starting to show its age - its an older seaside resort town after all - not a lot of shiny new properties in an area thats been a heavy resort destination for over 100 years.
for example - furniture in the room had scuffs and wear on the edges, still decent shape and serviceable, but aging. Old tube style TV. ceiling tiles in bathroom aging.
not horrible wear - but not immaculate either.
rooftop indoor pool was being remodeled as was hall on top floor - so thats positive that work is being done and money put into the property, but its a tough battle with beach area hotels to keep up.
staff was friendly.
rooms have balconies or patios
rooms have nice minifridge (not the tiny ones) and a microwave.
location - easy walking distance to beach and right off the main street with shops and restaurants
good strong wifi signal
advertised free breakfast but did not see it - coffee in lobby however.

This place is dirty and run down. So not pet friendly. The room was so small we could barely move with our 2 dogs. The floors were bare fake wood and very slippery for my poor dogs. They were slipping and sliding all over. I was so afraid of an injury. The beds were terrible more like soft cots. When you sat on the edge you were almost touching the floor. If you love your dogs do not go here.

Room Tip: go someplace else

We were in town for a baseball tournament and wanted to stay near the beach. Had never stayed in Rehoboth Beach before so took chances on this hotel. Nothing real negative to say except it is in need of upgrades. we had a standard room which was very small but had a balcony which was very nice to sit out on. No real view from our room but was fine for weekend. No breakfast came with it but had coffee maker and fridge in room which was good. Was close to many restaurants and shops so we could walk. was ok just no extras just a room.

Had not stayed here in a few years. Stayed in a standard room, but 2 room suites are available. Upgrades to the entries, hallways, etc. better WiFi and improved breakfast with a voucher for the buffet at the Atlantic Grill. Great location on 2nd Street, close to restaurants, shops and a beautiful view of the park.
