Royal Rose Inn is our new favorite Rehoboth B&B -- and we’ve stayed in several. Why do we like it so much? It’s all in the details.
The location is great: just a block and a half from the beach, and a very short block to all the shops on the main drag.
But what really makes Royal Rose Inn so great is the host. Andy is a very warm and welcoming host. He greeted us with enthusiasm and showed us around. The Royal Rose made us feel taken care of. It was all the little things -- the water and lemonade in the fridge, the beach towels, the beach chairs, the candy in the common area and in the room. The breakfast was delicious -- a couple of different omelets/frittatas, a homemade cake of some sort, bagels, and more, and very good coffee. Actually Andy’s coffee was so good that we skipped our usual trip to one of our favorite coffee shops, the Coffee Mill, which is only a few doors down from the inn.
It really felt like Andy went the extra mile for us. When we realized we wanted to stay a couple more nights, he called around to other B&Bs for us to see if they had room, because the Royal Rose was fully booked. Not everyone would offer to do that.
For value, convenience, and a feeling that you’re an honored guest, it would be hard to go wrong with the Royal Rose.
