“Irish Pub With a Focus on Fish - sounds odd but it works”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Ths place is conveniently located just off the main drag, on 2nd Street. It bills itself as an Irish pub, and sure you can get Guinness here, Bass, etc. But it's really a fish restaurant that also carries corned beef and cabbage on the menu. It sounds goofy but it works, and it's pretty good. The crab cakes, I have to say, were outstanding. NO fillers, just crab meat, some mayo and a pinch of flour to bind them together. They were served over rice which was a good compliment. My wife had the grouper, which was moist and flaky, served, interestingly, over mashed sweet potatoes. The service was great, very friendly, and we closed the place down.....

“Good food, better than expected for what I thought was a bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

My husband truly enjoyed his black and tan beer which was poured beautifully. One person in my party loved the fish and chips special and we all loved the onion rings. Bread was excellent with a great crunchy crust. Salad was well done, but not exceptional. My mussels were fine in a pleasant broth. Only disappointment were the deserts which were small for the price (our party of four ordered both the $7 key lime pie and the $8 fruit cobbler thinking we would share...)

“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We had dinner here and the food was very good. Everything from fish to chicken to steaks. Had the celtic chicken dish and was awesome. Kudos to the bartender Chester who was good company after dinner when we moved to the bar. Went back in the next night after dinner to visit with him more !

“Average at best”

We had the mahi mahi which in all fairness was probably not the right thing to order but it was not very good at all.

“good food, friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

went on a Thursday night, sat at the bar for a bit while they cleaned up a table and then we were seated. service at both the bar and table was friendly. food - we were concentrating on fried things that eve - was great. definitely try the onion rings because instead of being frozen, i'm pretty sure our "rings" were in fact an onion when we ordered it.
