We were a little nervous to try this restaurant based on all the bad reviews of the service. We actually ended up having great service. Our waitress was very nice. The food was just average and the atmosphere was a little dated inside.

Atmosphere, entertainment, food are all very good. However, the chairs are all wood, no padding for the back or seat, become uncomfortable soon after sitting down and affect what would otherwise be an enjoyable evening out. Also brown rice not an option, white rice only. It would be preferable to give the customers a choice as is common in other Asian restaurants. As i said, a very good restaurant which does get better with time (the entertainment one example), but could be improved by addressing the aforementioned two criticisms.

Always fresh and delicious sushi. Tastes as amazing as it looks. They offer a good selection of rolls and maki and the menu changes periodically. We always try something new and are never disappointed. Our bill reflects our willingness to experiment and is rarely under $200 but a fun and filling night.

We love everything about The Cultured Pearl! They were the pioneers for Sushi and Asian dining in Rehoboth Beach and remain a local favorite that we are happy to share with visitors to our Atlantic Ocean resort town. Their atmosphere, decor and presentation is second to none. We especially love being seated at the Sushi bar and being entertained by the Sushi staff. When our friends aren't big into Sushi, we always recommend the light, delicious Tempura or the Seafood Pasta. The bar service is lovely, as well, and complements the "Pearl's" delightful menu. The owners are philanthropic members of our community and give back in a way that is admirable.
