Great ambiance, interesting menu and usually good service. Our server was attentive with drinks and wine. Our order was taken timely and the first course was delicious, hot and in a timely manner. Then everything slipped. When our main meal was delivered (there were 5 of us) three had the evening fish special. One was cold: the others warm. (not hot) The other two had a veal dish that had been sitting so long, that the cheese was no longer soft and appealing and in fact the edges were curling. Obviously, it was not served hot. The server politely appologized and took both dishes to have them remade. We accepted our fish. At some point, their food arrived after the three of us had finished our dinner. During this time, an adjacent table of 6 was seated, served, paid their bill and left the restaurant when the two dinners were being served. We complained to the manager. She apologized, but offered nothing. The server then offered a free dessert. We declined stating that we were disappointed in the evening. The check came with no reductions or "comp" food or drinks. (We all had a cocktail and two bottles of wine. Something could easlily have been taken off the bill.) We left and the manager made no further comments as we passed. BTW, this is a $$$$ restaurant. We had "heard" that Zebra was not the fine dining experience that it used to be. I can now confirm that as a fact. We all agreed that we would not be returning anytime soon.
