We called for a table at 7 pm on 8/13/08 and were told we could be seated at 8. We arrived at 8, were seated promptly. We noticed that the place was half full. We ordered promptly. After 30 minutes I asked about my oysters with crabmeat appetizer. The order was then brought out promptly, but it was dry and not at all flavorful. After one hour we had not been served, so I asked about the status of our entrees, rack of lamb medium rare and veal saltimbocca. I said I wanted either the entrees or the check in the next three minutes. The entrees came, but I had to send the lamb back because it was too rare. About 2/3 of the way through dinner, the waitress asked if we were interested in dessert!!! She apologized for the delay in serving us, but said it was because they had just seated a party of 12. SO WHAT??? This is August in a beach resort!!! Is the problem in the kitchen, the wait staff, or what!?! I spoke to the manager as I left, and he simply said that he was sorry that the experience wasn't better. I told him that they had a serious problem if they couldn't provide better service on a Thursday when the restaurant was about half full. He didn't seem to be particularly concerned. The wait staff apologized, but I don't see how it was in their control.
