“Exceptionally gracious hosts”

We spent two delightful nights at Lighthouse Inn. Matt and Jerry provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and bicycle rental shops. They were available when we needed them and left us on our own when we wanted solitude. Breakfast on Sunday morning was delicious. The pumpkin pancakes with homemade sauces were superb and Jerry agreed to provide the recipe.

We had been concerned regarding a previous reviewer's description of weekday breakfast, but found that the Monday breakfast was an excellent and plentiful mix of fresh fruit, cereals, cheese, and various items for toasting. The sunny and charming porch was available not only for breakfast, but throughout the day, so we read the morning papers there, had cocktails in the late afternoon, and read out books in the evening. The rooms were very clean and have cozy gas fireplaces and refrigerators.

I strongly recommend the Lighthouse Inn for a weekend getaway. We came home relaxed and reenergized.

My daughter arranged an anniversary 2 night stay for hubbie and me at this wonderful place! From the minute we arrived, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Matt was tending to one of the many beautiful fountains that grace this lovely house. Both Matt and Jerry were so welcoming and helpful.
As we walked upstairs to our room, at the top of the stairs, just before the room itself, was a lovely sitting area, with a large treasure chest, many nautical knickknacks and bistro table. We stayed in the "Key West" room, which is at the top of the house "just under the roof" and has been furnished and decorated the most creatively I have seen in any B&B. Decorated beautifully, welcomely and tastefully. Seems like everywhere one looks, tasteful and welcoming decor, pink flamingo in corner, lighthouse shelf, nautical motif. Lovely view of ocean from the large window facing ocean and could HEAR the roar of the waves. Bed very comfy.
Breakfasts, served on the lovely front porch were delicious. The banana jam was my favorite.
The last evening, we came back quite late and went upstairs to our room. There, on the table was a pretty silver tray with 2 glasses of brandy and chocolates. Fireplace heater was merrily going and mood music was emanating from the tv. Couldn't have been more romantic! What a beautiful ending to an already great weekend.Thank you so much Matt and Jerry for a splendid, memorable time! Cant wait to get back to this lovely place.

Room Tip: Hard to choose a room because the website showed them so well, and they all were so nicely furnished...

We actually did not stay at this property, but my interactions with Matt were so superb that I'm moved to write a recommendation.

My husband and I were interested in staying at the Lighthouse Inn while visiting Rehoboth for the Rehoboth Marathon. I sent out feelers to a number of B&Bs and Matt was impressively responsive. Given the nature of our trip and my marathon anxiety, I had a number of special (and neurotic) requests, all of which Matt hospitably offered to fulfill (and no doubt went to great lengths to do so).

Due to changes in our own plans we did not book a stay, but Matt's great responsiveness, friendliness, and willingness to accommodate our needs were too wonderful to go unreported. When prospective guests are treated so well via e-mail and phone, I can only imagine how wonderful it is to actually stay on site. If you want to feel taken care of, Lighthouse Inn Bed & Breakfast is the perfect choice. When we visit Rehoboth again we will look here first!

This place was booked for the weekend we wanted, but the person on the phone was polite, genuine, friendly, and suggested other area accommodations. These days, friendly people can be hard to find. Thank you!

Lighthouse Inn was a wonderful place to spend a weekend away. My husband and I recently stayed here just to get away for a weekend alone, and it was so nice. Jerry was the perfect host, there was a delicious breakfast and it was SO close to the beach! We would absolutely go back again.

Room Tip: The Diamond Head Room on the top floor was a little tricky to get to (steep stairs) but a great room...

My wife and i had a great stay. The place was very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were awesome and jerry and matt are friendly. The whole house is quaint, and so charming. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone!

My husband and I were referred to this fabulous bed and breakfast inn by our son who had stayed there a few years ago. Needless to say, we were immediately impressed and surprised to find a Happy banner in our Cape May room. (It was our 40th anniversary, being the reason to spend our recent Labor Day weekend there.). And what we loved about this quaint and cozy place was the comfort, the delicious breakfast, especially the Hawiian French toast and homemade jams, the wine and cheese event which was out of the world, the friendliness of other guests, and most of all, the most gracious and thoughtful hosts, Jerry and Matt. Those 2 great guys really made us feel at home. In addition, the Lighthouse Inn is in a very convenient location with its 1/2 block from the beach, many great restaurants and shops nearby. It was an anniversary weekend we shall always cherish!

Room Tip: Although our Cape May room with a queen size bed was comfortable and adequate, we would have preferr...
