“It's the only place I stay in Rehoboth.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

I had been to the Lighthouse Inn once before. I heard about an event happening in town at Dogfish Head and luckily the Key West room was available. I had stayed in another before and would have chosen that as I'm a creature of habit but I couldn't be more happy. The view to the east from the room gives a nice view of ocean and puts it over the edge. While some say there are better values, I would disagree. Lighthouse Inn has only king beds (others may only have queens or two twins) and private baths. The location can't be beat as you're on the ocean block and not a five block walk to any part of the downtown area. There's private parking during the busy season so you don't need to worry about that if you need to run out. Jerry and Matt have always been wonderful hosts and the simple but extremely well executed breakfasts are a great start to the day. I don't ever plan to go anywhere else.

Room Tip: Go for the Key West 'penthouse' to get the ocean view.

My husband and I just wanted to get away for the weekend. We travel with our dog so finding places that will accept a pet is difficult and at the last minute, well, can be very disheartening. However, we did find the Lighthouse Inn Bed & Breakfast. Jerry and Matt were so kind over the phone, accepted our dog, and gave us highlights of what was happening in the area. As it turned out it was the Polar Plunge weekend. We were not prepaed but Jerry and Matt were. They gave us tips and allowed us to borrow items that would make it easier to complete the task. The breakfasts were wonderful and their company a pleasure. We really felt "at home". We are looking forward to returning to the Lighthouse and share conversation and coffee with two wonderful hosts. Thank you Matt and Jerry for a memorable weekend getaway!

Room Tip: This was only our first trip to their home and we loved the third floor king. We were able to see i...

My husband and I have been to various B&B's around the country, but the Lighthouse Inn beats all for comfort. The owners seem to have a sixth sense of what you need and when you need it, including privacy. While the house and food could be fancier, that would take away from the Lighthouse's charm. Its superb location puts everything at your fingertips. Bravo!

We were looking for a quiet escape after our wedding last week and found it at the Lighthouse Inn. Jerry and Matt are wonderful hosts. We were there during the off-season, so Rehoboth was eerily quiet. The location is excellent as you are walking distance to everything you need. We enjoyed a leisurely continental breakfast on Saturday and Jerry's Hawaiian french toast Sunday in the large sun room. The cordials and chocolates waiting for us in our room after dinner was a nice way for us to quietly enjoy our final evening.

Room Tip: Key West room has an ocean view and a little bistro set to enjoy a cocktail. Fun decor. Also a littl...

Perfect location, warm hosts, delicious breakfasts, beautiful rooms, and the beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas are provided for you. This place has it all! As an example of the outstanding service, I asked Jerry where we could buy sunscreen. He stepped into the next room and fetched me a bottle. And then there is the delightful liqueur and chocolates on the night before checkout. They also gave us great tips about eateries. Rehoboth is a very family-friendly place and this is a no-kids place, so it is a distinct niche. We love kids, but it is great to have a lovely romantic retreat at the end of the day.

A great B&B very close to the beach, as well as all of the Rehoboth restaurants and shops. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was great.

It wasn't a problem for us, but a warning that the top floor rooms can only be reached via some very steep stairs. We were very glad that our 8 month pregnant friend didn't have to use them.

A great B&B with wonderful access to the beach, restaurants and nightlife. Everthing is within walking distance. Park your car when you arrive and leave it there. Jerry and Matt are gracious hosts and we enjoyed great breakfast food and were directed to some fine restaurants. The front porch is a very inviting place to have your morning coffee.

Room Tip: Try to secure the Key West Room if you can. Very spacious and private
