We've been here several times and this time in particular, I was reminded that this place has retained the feel of a beach resort from my youth. Sure there are chain stores and restaurants, but it still has the old fudge and saltwater taffy places, the shops with tacky t-shirts and flips, and the commercial district is not too commercial. This is the kind of quaint place I want to bring my kids. That said, traffic in the summer on Rt 1 is horrific, when there are sand fleas or biting flies, there is no relief and the waits for restaurants in the summer can be long. Still it's a great place.
