Have stayed at the Admiral several times and have stayed at other "resort" type places in Rehoboth, also. Always return to the Admiral because of its affordability, its proximity to the beach, its cleanliness, and most of all, its lack of pretension. It's a wonderful "blue collar" type of place with a great staff, a great coffee shop/luncheonette, and accommodations that completely suit my purpose. It is so close to the beach, the boardwalk, the restaurants, and everything else there is to enjoy in Rehoboth that once you arrive there, you can literally lock your car keys away until you are ready to leave. Whenever we think of stayng elsewhere, we always come to the conclusion that the Admiral still gives us the "biggest bang for our buck". Will continue to go to the Admiral as long for as long as we go to Rehoboth.

We stayed at the Admiral for one night, 10/1. Other hotels that were available were charging over $300, and we got a room there for $129. It had 2 queen-sized beds and was a decent size. The price and location are definitely the high points. I wasn't crazy about the motel aspect, i.e., your balcony is also the hallway, but it really is a good value for the money. I can't imagine that we would have had a significantly better experience at the neigboring hotels that charged more than twice the price. I would stay there again.

As others said, exellent location just steps from the boardwalk. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but the room we stayed in was very clean and quite nice - a step above your average motel, with nice furnishings and fancy soaps. For a November stay, we needed an indoor pool, and the little pool was perfect, and open until 10 pm! Since this is a motel, with entrances from the outside, it meant a quick little dash in the cold. (The pool is on the 4th floor, so you might want to ask for a room near the pool if you are there during off-season.) Rates aren't dirt cheap, but not unreasonable (we paid $82 for a Saturday night stay in November). Check their website for possible discounts. When I reserved, their was a 10 percent "Internet" discount just for mentioning that ad from their site.

“Bleak interior and poor housekeeping”

I would not stay here again. Although the staff was very pleasant, everything else abourt our stay was not. The room is like a bunker, with windows that don't open. If you got soundproofing, great, but this was not the case. Lots of noise from the street outside. The carpet in our room was filthy. It was disgusting to walk on. We were charged a higher rate for what we were told would be a larger room. We traveled with someone else who paid less. Their room was the same size. Close to the boardwalk, but not worth the $140 price.

The Admiral Hotel was a solid value -- clean rooms, kind staff, a great location -- just steps from the boardwalk and close to the center of town -- you can walk to all keys spots from the hotel. The pool is covered with glass on the top but open on the sides -- it's small but not crowded so it's fine. Upon check-in they gave our young kids goodies bags that were chock full of small toys which kept the kids entertained for hrs -- and a frisbee which I thought was a nice touch.
Overall the property was neat and clean -- it's not the Four Seasons but it is an excellent value and I'd stay there again without hestiation.
