“Great Beach Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

The Admiral Hotel is not fancy. But it is very, very good. The rooms are clean and spacious. They have new flat screen TVs, refrigerators and microwaves. The beds are big and comfortable. Lighting is good. There are plenty of pillows and the showers work great. The sink area is separate from the shower area to accommodate groups (and families). They have ample parking and the staff is friendly. Best of all - the location is perfect. The only slight drawback is that their air conditioner units can be loud. Typical of beach hotels, these are room units located underneath the windows. Depending on how hot it is and how cold you like it, they can generate a very noticeable hum. Nevertheless, this is an excellent hotel and a great place to stay in Rehoboth.

Room Tip: The better rooms are in the back of the hotel, overlooking the parking lot. It is quieter there and...

My family has been staying here for the past 3 yrs. Hotel is steps from the boardwalk. Very clean and friendly staff. Housekeeping is like clockwork. And when we needed something the staff was right on it to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The hotel has been updated and the rooms look awesome...I was impressed with the new look. The pillows arent the lumpy ones that alot of hotels have. And the beds are comfy as are the sofa bed. The sofa's cushions were comfy and relaxing to sit on. And the rooms have alot of towels and washclothes(most hotels ration out the towels and make you call front desk for more). We stay here every July and we've enjoyed our stay each time. We had a partial view of the ocean once we walk out our door. The rooftop indoor pool is very nice and my kids loved it. The parking garage is safe but small for a large suv. The hotel won't put a big dent in your wallet either.

I recently had surgery due to an auto accident and wanted some R&R at the beach. My boyfriend and I live in Silver Spring Md and decided to take a road trip at 3am in the morning. We just popped in looking for a room on 7/14, very early that morning. We only wanted to stay one night. The staff was so accommadating!! The room was availible immediately, parking was perfect, location of this hotel is the best ever. We also were able to stay all day on Sunday for a small fee and keep the parking space. The room was quaint, clean and it felt like home, as soon as i walked in. The ladies at the desk were so friendly, something that is lacking in most hotels. We cant wait to return. Thanks so much to all staff at the Admiral..

Our family spent a week at Rehoboth Beach and stayed at the Admiral Hotel. We were very pleased with our room, the staff and the overall experience. The price was incredibly reasonable, which was surprising since the hotel is steps away from the Boardwalk and the beach. We were on the second floor overlooking Baltimore Avenue, and had a great view of the ocean and the Boardwalk. The 4th floor pool was covered, and had a very nice outdoor patio where you could look down over Rehoboth Avenue, the Boardwalk and the beach. The staff was helpful. Our housekeeper was great too. We didn't request maid service, but she came in every day anyway and gave us fresh towels and linens, made the bed, and arranged our children's stuffed animals which made them smile. Great time, great beach, great hotel. Would highly recommend this place!

Room Tip: The partial ocean views are nice; they overlook Baltimore Avenue. Walk down the staircase, turn to t...

My family has stayed at the Admiral several times. Their recent updates look awesome. The pool and deck was just as great as ever. We had problems with our AC the first night, they moved us to another room for the night and had it fixed right away in the morning.. The staff was very kind and everyone smiled. This is perfect for a family.. Very quiet at night and in the morning as well.. You can walk to resturants, the boardwalk, Funland for the kids and the beach view is good as well. The lobby has discount coupons to area attractions and free coffee.. This is perfect for anyone looking to stay in the center of the Rehoboth Fun! We can't wait to go back!

My family and I have been staying at the Admiral for over 20 years. We always stay in the same room and we rebook each year before we leave. We like the Admiral because of the location. Our room is always clean and comfortable. We are pleased with the facelift that the new owner gave it. We are most disappointed with the customer service. When we ask for things that are not required the staff gets snippy. For example, with the past ownership if the room was ready early we were allowed to check in early. They reluctantly allow that now, but made us feel like they were doing us a huge favor. Also, We were not allowed to park in the parking garage a minute early, even though it was over half empty. I would understand it they were fully booked, but the garage was over half empty during our entire 4 night stay. It would go a long way if they would give us the option of parking early or late if the spaces are available. Also, I feel that the larger rooms should allow to have two parking passes. These things all seem small but it's the reason we come back year after year. We did not rebook this year and I will ask a lot of questions before I do book again. I hope they consider these suggestions.

Stayed at the Admiral for the first time over July 4th weekend. Couldn't have been happier! Our partial-view King on the 2nd floor was clean and comfortable. The room looked recently refurbished, with none of the wear and tear common in "beach" hotels, and the bed was fairly firm (although for our taste could have been a bit firmer). We had a friend join us for one night while we were there, and he even felt that the pull out sleeper sofa was fairly comfortable. The room air conditioner held up well in 100+ degree heat. Being at the beach, we obviously didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but even being on the 2nd floor and overlooking Baltimore Ave., when we were in the room, the hum of the AC seemed to drown out any street noise. Housekeeping was prompt and quick -- we left the room every morning around 10 for breakfast, and by 11 when we returned, our room had been cleaned. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, and were even able to help us with an extra parking pass for their garage for the one night that our friend was there (note: they were not full and couldn't guarantee this, YMMV). Literally steps away from the Boardwalk, and an easy walk to everything on Rehoboth Ave. We'll definitely consider the Admiral on our next trip to the beach!

Room Tip: 2nd floor partial view was more than adequate. Didn't walk up to the higher floors, but this hot...
