“Perfect Winter Treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

My boyfriend and I impulsively decided to go to Rehobeth the weekend before Christmas. We didn't have reservations anywhere, but after calling a few hotels within walking distance to the Dogfish Head pub (one of our main reason for traveling to that area) we were pleased to be offered a rate of $99 for one of the Bellmoor's club suites (a deal they were running that weekend).

We could not have been more pleased with our stay. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. We indulged in a relaxing jacuzzi bath. In the morning we used the gym and were then blown away by the delicious breakfast (complete with an omelet station). It happened to be warm enough to eat outside in the quaint courtyard. Every aspect of the Bellmoor seems to have been thoughtfully crafted, from every piece of furniture and lighting to the many quiet nooks to the beautiful flooring.

The only tiny tiny issue we encountered was that we had a little trouble getting the fireplace in our room to light, but other than that, it was a perfect stay. For a place that would be out of our price range during peak season, this was a total treat and something we'd definitely do again in the winter.

I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are so glad that you were able to take advantage of one of our last minute deals. Our club level suites are the finest rooms at The Bellmoor & are very popular for romantic getaways. The weather sure was warm during your stay which was a lovely treat for everyone. I apologize for the issue regarding the fireplace in your room, our maintenance staff has resolved the issue. We look forward to having you both stay with us again in the near future. Best wishes from all of us at The Bellmoor.

The Bellmoor is fabulous! The guest is king, the amenities super, the environs relaxing and clean and superbly managed. The location is absolutely on target for easy access to every restaurant and shop and the beach-ocean. We will go back again and again.

We had read about the Bellmoor in the Washington Post this past fall...my 50th birthday was approaching in early December...based on the article in the Post we decided to give the Bellmoor a try to celebrate?
The Bellmoor was everything and then some...the Inn was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was by far one of the best (included in roomrate) I have had.
We stayed in one of the Garden rooms, it was perfectly appointed, cozy and very, very clean!
We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in library off the lobby...the only thing I would suggest is they consider adding and outdoor firepit in the garden or patio area. I think it would be very enjoyable in the off season!
We have already discussed returning to the Bellmoor...really enjoyed the stay!

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room at the Bellmoor...our Garden Room was quaint and I liked being...

This was my second visit to the Bellmoor and it was fantastic. I love the different quaint seating areas throughout the property and especially the room right across from the front desk. The guest room was very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was yummy too--very nice selection and friendly staff.
Drew at the front desk was always walking around the hotel making sure all guests were happy. One day he saw I was reading by the fireplace and came to put an extra log on so that I could enjoy a roaring fire--now that's service!
You can't go wrong with this lovely hotel. I'll be visiting again soon.

Hate to rain on this parade of great reviews. Don't get me wrong--the Bellmoor was just lovely, and our Queen Garden Room was beautifully decorated, well appointed, and very clean. However, staying off-season, without the a/c running constantly, we came to realize the walls are paper thin. We heard everything in the adjoining room & above (we were on the 1st floor). I'm talking normal conversation, toilet flushing, shower, tv & people walking above. This is not to say our neighbors were noisy--we could just hear their every move. Once the heat cycled on, that helped to muffle it, but we couldn't keep the heat on constantly or we'd roast. Not sure if rooms in the main building are any better soundwise, but unless we could stay in one of the cottages, this issue would deter us from staying again. The complimentary breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices, an omelette station, free newspapers, and ample seating. For what we paid per night, and the sound issue, I cannot give the Bellmoor an Excellent rating.

Room Tip: Don't stay in any of the Garden rooms--walls are paper thin & you can hear everything in nei...

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Bellmoor and for taking the time to review our property. I am pleased to hear that you found our Queen Garden Room to be well appointed, cozy, and comfortable. I apologize for any inconvenience that occurred during your stay. We seldom hear of noise complaints from the garden rooms, but do understand people have different tolerance to noise levels. I would suggest that on your next visit you try a room in the main building of our property. We have an adults only floor which is extremely quite and features individually decorated suites for adults 25 years and older. We hope that you return to stay with us again in the near future. Best wishes.

When we checked in, the desk staff told us that they had upgraded our room to one in the main building. The one we reserved was in the garden building, which they thought might be a bit chilly that night -- the coldest day since last winter. The room we got was larger, nicer, and more comfortable than the one we paid for. We had a lovely time in the library on the main level, where I stoked the real wood fireplace so we could have our cocktails in a cozy warm place. The included breakfast was lovely, as was the dining room overlooking the garden. The place even has an underground garage, which was nice since the wind chill was nasty. We will definitely return.

Each & every time I stay at the Bellmoor, the staff is friendly, accommodating, & patient. The rooms are beautifully equipped. The spa services are wonderful. The breakfasts are delicious, particular;y the omelettes made fresh on request every weekend. All this and shopping at the outlets and eating in local restaurants. Look forward to my next visit.

Room Tip: If bringing no children, the fourth floor is quiet and snacks are provided 24 hours a day.
