“Great addition to Rehoboth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2007

The Bellmoor is on the site of the old Dinner Bell Inn and restaurant. It is a wonderful addition to hotels in Rehoboth. It is not beachfront, but is within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. I find this makes for a quiet retreat away from the crowds. The rooms are detailed nicely and the bathrooms are large. The hotel also offers a range of nice package deals throughout the year. I look forward to returning soon!

We recently stayed at the Bellmoor for a meeting and found it to be a wonderful property. Beautifully decorated for the holidays, the staff
was gracious at check-in and throughout our stay. Our room was in the main portion of the hotel but we were able to see rooms throughout the
property and there wasn't one I would have been disappointed with. Breakfast was excellent. The public rooms are gorgeous - a parlor and a library with a wood-burning fireplace on the first floor make excellent spots to relax and read. I also enjoyed an aromatherapy massage at the in-house spa and an excellent Chinese dinner at Confucious. We would highly recommend the Bellmoor for your stay in Rehoboth Beach.

This was our second, off-season stay at The Bellmoor. Our last stay was 1 1/2 years ago, in April. While it may be a little pricey during the summer season, it is an excellent value and delightful experience in the off season. Breakfast is included and is very good. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day with cookies added b/w 3 - 4 PM. They also stock a great supply of newspapers and magazines. We had a King Garden with sitting area which had an HD TV, microwave and small refrigerator. It's a great location for restaurants, including Cultured Pearl and Stoney Lonen, and a pleasant stroll to the ocean.

We were very charmed by The Bellmoor. The property is exquisite, from the lobby to the library to the outdoor pool and hot tub area to the garden dining room.

We visited in October, during the week. The weather was perfect. It was very quiet and relaxing. I've heard the weekends and summers are very busy ; might not be as relaxing if there are crowds.

The beach is a short walk away. We walked the entire boardwalk; so incredibly nice.

We stayed in the Jr Suite; very roomy and comfortable. The country breakfast that is served daily was excellent and very appreciated.

Just a note: we found many of the restaurants in town were closed during the week. Perhaps this was due to the off season, but we were disappointed.

The Bellmoor turned out to even nicer than I had expected
based on photos on their website. It was also very reasonable for such a luxurious hotel, only $145 for a King Deluxe Room.
It is 2 1/2 blocks from the boardwalk, which turned out to be
perfect - close enough to walk everywhere, but far enough away
from the crowds and noise.
Staff were extremely professional, helpful and friendly. The hotel
is beautifully decorated from the lobby to the sunroom where a
nice hot breakfast buffet is served from 7:30-10:30 every morning, including scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, potatoes, fresh fruit, muffins, sticky buns,
yogurt, bagels, etc. There are 2 outdoor pools, one for family and a smaller, more private pool for adults.A hot tub,a fitness room, and a spa offering various massages, body and facial treatments.A garden courtyard with several fountains is serene.
The entire hotel was clean and well kept including my room
which was large with a king sze bed, a sleeper sofa and 2
arm chairs, a writing desk, an armoir w/ television,a wet bar,and a marble bathroom. The room was so comfortable, I didn't want
to leave!
This was my first stay in a hotel in Rehoboth, so I compared
hotel prices and descriptions online before choosing The Bellmoor. It was actually less expensive than a few of the others,
although I can't imagine why.I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

We stayed at the Bellmoor for one night and were very pleased with our stay. The location is walking distance to the boardwalk and many restuarants. (We ate at Fins and the food was of good quality and well-prepared.) We were in a second story room overlooking the garden. It was well-appointed and immaculate, and we enjoyed sitting on the verandah. The hot tub was a short walk from our room and also immaculate, with plenty of towels. The breakfast buffet the next morning was quite extensive with both hot and cold dishes. We would stay here again.

This was my third visit to The Bellmoor. We had called ahead to request a quiet room. The concierge level does not allow children but we ended up staying on another floor and did not have any problems with noise. The hotel is approximately 3 blocks from the beach. The atmosphere at The Bellmoor is quiet and peaceful. This is not a hotel that you want to stay in with a rowdy partying group as guests seem to be attracted to the hotel for its quiet atmosphere. Our room had just been recarpeted a week ago. It was clean and well appointed with a wet bar and a small coffee maker in the room. There is a small pool on the second floor and also a spa on the 2nd floor. The room rate includes breakfast. They have an omlette station with many choices of filling. There were also healthy choices for breakfast...lots of fruit, granola and yogurt. There seemed to be plenty of parking between the garage, parking lot in the hotel and street parking. The employees are courteous, unobtrusive and helpful. I love The Bellmoor and would not stay anywhere else in Rehoboth Beach.
