We came to the beach as an anniversary get-away. Best rates for a decent hotel were at the hotel chain's own site - $45-50 per night. We found the staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Only shortcoming was the breakfast which was only ok and about what we expected.

The staff recommended the best nearby restaurant for dinner which was a good value as well. They also printed out directions to one they didn't know much about but that we had read about. Many restaurants and shopping very close and short drive to Rehoboth main drag. The room was large and comfortable as was the bed (with 5 pillows - yay!).

This is at the lower end of places I usually consider staying, but I would pick Comfort Inn again and certainly this one.

We had a bad experience with this hotel.
I reserved a room via hotels.com specifiying non-smoking.
The hotel did not honor this request and said the computer system places the opposite selection of what people choose for the smoking option and that in the future I should call to verify my online reservation. The hotel was completely booked therefore we had to suffer in a horrendously smoky room. My entire suitcase and contents reeked of smoke after one night in the hotel. The agent at the front desk did not offer any compensation for our unpleasant experience.
The hotel was also dirty and had outdated furnishings.
I would not stay in this hotel again.

I had a horrendous experience with this hotel last weekend. I cannot believe the hotel could make such a grave mistake.

I checked-in around 3pm on Oct 28, 2006. I was initially pleased that the hotel would let me check the room(s) alloted before I settled in. After all the necessary hotel administrative procedures were completed, I left my belongings in the room before stepping out for some sight-seeing. Never would I ever expect a shocking encounter would be awaiting me on my return.

I returned to the hotel around 9 pm and the first reaction I received from the front desk personnel was "I was still around". The personnel started to panick and told me that he had sold my room to another client, putting the blame on the computer system which indicated that I had checked-out? I was stunned! He was one of the hotel staff that had checked me into the hotel earlier.

The hotel staff and myself proceeded to the room and the next horrifying fact was that the customer he had checked into my room was actually in the room. All my belongings were still in the room! I took my belongings and left.

The hotel staff wanted to check if he could arrange another room for me. I decided not to stay on due to safety reasons. I could not be assured that he would not make another mistake and double check another customer into my room again. This customer could end up coming into my room in the middle of the night!

This is a really a grave mistake which no hotels should make. First, the hotel had compromised my safety by allowing another customer to check into the room I had checked in earlier. Second, I could have lost my belongings due to the hotel's negligence. Third, I would have been left stranded without any accommodation if the hotel had been fully booked for that night.

I have to share this appalling encounter with all travellers so that they will not have to experience what I have gone through. Just to let you know that I have to eventually make a 3-hour drive back home at 10.30pm as no other hotels in the vicinity have any rooms available at that time.

We waited too long to book a room so we had very few choices -- we lucked out with this one. Fitness center better than adequate. The room was restfully quiet (even through the place was full-up). Location -- it wasn't a location we would have chosen but it worked out fabulously. Walk out the back of the hotel, and there is a big Park and Ride and the beach bus comes right there. We left our car at the hotel always, and just rode the bus, which was $2.10 all day per person (or a dollar each way to the beach). You could walk to the outlets next door and then take the outlet shuttle to all the stores, if you wanted to. Warning: Spouse didn't care for the free breakfast, which is all gone if you get there an hour after it starts. Bagels were stale. But cold cereal and milk seemed to please the kiddies who were staying at the hotel.
