“Amazing food in an interesting setting.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

Tried this little boutique restaurant and found the food to be excellent with good prices. Not one of those places that try to overload you with so-so food, but gives you a sane sized portion of delectable, fresh and interesting food. Will definitely go there again! The location is sort of hidden and the furnishings are homey with great art work.

“Still the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

We’ve been coming to Rehoboth for years, and Back Porch Café is still the most reliably delicious fine dining establishment in town. Over the years, we’ve had one incident of poor service, and a couple of courses that weren’t the best. But compared to so many other places, where the disappointments are inevitable after one good meal, this is the restaurant we can count on for a special meal. The atmosphere isn’t fancy, but it’s intimate and welcoming. (Actually, some of the tables are so small you practically have to eat off each other’s plates.) Most of the waiters are knowledgeable and attentive. There is a huge by-the-glass wine list, with many excellent wines for extremely reasonable prices. The main courses are exciting and inventive, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen the same items on the menu. This time, I had a confit de canard, wrapped in a slice of cured ham with a citrusy sauce – crispy and delicious. An appetizer of fois gras was over the top with truffle butter that I could have eaten a pound of, plain. They do take reservations – so make one and enjoy a casual gourmet evening!

“Excellent service teamed with great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

We had a group of seven for dinner. We were promptly seated and quickly served. The restaurant was busy and full, yet there was a calm and efficiency that was appreciated. The loin of tuna was very unique and delicious for an appetizer. The spiced salmon was delicious and cooked perfectly. Four of my friends had the tenderloin - prepared four different temperatures - and everyone loved their entre! We will return next year!

Consistently one of the best meals I have when dining out. Food, service, ambiance - perfect. Don't miss the coffee flambe!

“Avoid the Pork”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Our experience here was not great. Bland bread. Not so great lobster salad appetizer. Tasteless grilled pork dish with a nasty tasting sauce that covered half the plate. Our server never even asked how the meal was. The salmon was pretty good. Would not return. So many better places in Rehoboth.
