Best ice cream on the island. And they even serve a "sissy" cup which is great for those of us watching our waistline, but still want something sweet. Was able to share this cup of ice-cream with my husband and still some. best flavors..
There are many ice cream shops in Rehoboth, but Double Dippers is one of the best - the older mainstay is Royal Treat on WIlmington Ave. There are so many flavors it is hard to choose - but Road Runner Raspberry, Coconut Chocolate Almond, Minty Moose Tracks, etc. are just a few of my favorites!
The shop also serves milk shakes, sundaes, COTTON CANDY, floats and banana splits... with any flavor ice cream that you prefer. After a long day at the beach - I usually have a scoop of soft serve vanilla with a scoop of orange sherbert - a blast from my childhood - a creamsickle! YUMMY!
The volume this place does is insane, and yet, you never have to wait longer than a few minutes. They carry Hershey's ice cream which is good and they will even bring out water for the dog when they get a break. Great people watching from the front window seat or the bench out front. The guys who work here come back year after year and are like family to us...witty, charming, and welcoming...wait, that doesn't sound like my family.
IT's the people that make this such a delight. There are so many ice cream options in Rehoboth, but Joe and Tom make theirs special. A desitination after dinner for many fun folks.. great music.
The quality of the ice cream and the flavors available are the best in the beach town of many ice cream choices. And it's across the street from my favorite pizza place. Requires cash.
