As you enter Rehoboth from the south, you immediately get a view across Silver Lake and into Rehoboth's tree-lined, traditional neighborhoods. It really sets the tone for a visit to this town, setting it apart from Dewey Beach, Ocean City and other tacky, more commercialized beach towns. Silver Lake stretches from almost the ocean dunes back through town to a small wetland area. Unfortunately, it's not clean enough to swim, and few people boat it (access is limited). But the lake serves largely as a visual amenity, offering a tree-lined lake view to Rehoboth's beach-oriented atmosphere.
