Summer in Rehoboth makes it tough to venture downtown for dinner. We found Salt Air because there was an hour and a half wait to get in next door. We opted to try Salt Air because of a minimal wait time. We were pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. We both had steak and have been back.

The first time we ate here the restaurant had only recently reopened and things were uneven at best. But now we can endorse this place and move it up on our list of restaurants that we will revisit. The service was very good -- we were asked 2x if we had everything and if everything was to our satisfaction, once by the waitress and once by the hostess. The devils egg with a bit of crab mixed in are an excellent appetizer! My husband got the seafood pot pie and really enjoyed it. The crust on it as well as the filling were both good quality. On Wednesday night during the winter season they have a special on the chicken -- $2 off the regular dinner price. The chicken has a nice crispy skin and was moist yet and done fully through. Good mashed potatoes and spinach as the sides with it. The sangria was ok, but I would not order it again when I go back as it was lackluster. Overall a solid performance especially for this slow time of year.

....succeding the old Salt Air. Not as good yet, but clearly it is on it's way. The rooms have been revised to make the restaurant more accommodating. My wife and I both ordered the lobster, crab and pumpkin bisque soup, which was a beautiful
blend of the three( not easy to do). She had two appetizers in lieu of an entree, flatbread pizza and big eye tuna. Both were very nice. I ate the jumbo shrimp and chorizo entree, which was good but slightly disappointing with respect to the the lack of a perfect "marriage". The wine list contains a decent selection. Overall, this is a restaurant that is worth visiting. My sense is that it will improve nicely, assuming it maintains its kitchen staff. In the end, that is the main factor for any restaurant.

With so many good restaurants in Rehoboth it was hard to choose but this was definitely our favorite! The wait was shorter than stated. We loved the decor/atmosphere. Service was great on a busy night.
Every meal in our party of 4 was top notch. We highly recommend everything we had from the mussels appetizer, crab cake, scallops, fresh fish to the wonderful banana pudding for dessert!
When I return to Rehoboth I will be sure to visit Salt Air again!
