I got lucky and found this as a last resort...but, you should make it your first resort. The location is great- close to beach but not crazy/busy. it has great porch and backyard /deck options for hanging out. Very home-y entry and check in area- nicely appointed. Really nicely updated and maintained overall..paint looks fresh throughout.
Steve: can you sustain this level of congeniality and not slip into jaded and faded?? The innkeeper really keeps the place humming along without drama. Great communications before, during and after the visit
We had the small room due to late reservation and shared the hallway bath...no problems there. (Nicely cleaned and stocked with some basics too). The quietest ceiling fan in the world. It might have been pretty noisy and rattly with the window AC but luckily it wasnt needed. (Worth asking about if you end up in a smaller room)
Breakfast is a bit modest with mostly cold selections, but plentiful. That's the non-kitchen BnB way. Great coffee, great yougurts, cereals, fruits, plus lots of baked and a egg type baked option. The evening usually brings out a few designer cupcakes from nearby shop.
BTW, beach chairs are there for the asking usually.
Sat night brings on a mini gathering with on the house drinks and snacks!@! in the back yard.
Outdoor showers, huge, with hot water and a touch of Hootervillle. Y'know where Ellie Mae throws here towel over the door...kind of rustic like that.
