“Simple, comfortable, excellent location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

This laid-back guest house has much to recommend it - friendly manager, relaxed vibe, and an unbeatable location (two blocks to center of town and beach). Overall the Guest House definitely tends more to the spartan than the luxe end of the scale, so don't expect super-cushy-pampering. I wish a few of the details had been just a bit more upmarket -- the bed was hard as a board, there was soap but no shampoo for the bathroom, and I'm pretty sure the morning oj was from concentrate :P

That said however, we had a really lovely time. The rooms are smallish but fresh & tidy, Tom is a really good host and we had a blast chatting with the other guests during pre-dinner wine hour in the living room! This is a good base for a beach weekend.

P.S. There is no on-site parking for this property. We didn't have a problem because we easily found street parking (off season) but I can imagine that in the height of summer it might be a pain in the butt.

Room Tip: All 2nd floor rooms have hallway access to a nice roof deck.

“Friendly and relaxing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

Nice place. Not fancy. Manager Tom is helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was good. The place could use a little detailed cleaning (vacuuming), but otherwise good as far as housekeeping. Our tub regrettably did not drain and did not get fixed when we first mentioned it, till our last day there when another couple in the next room complained about theirs, but the manager is quite busy and seemed at times overwhelmed. (He needs to have a "Needs Attention" or "To Do" list in lobby for people to write down things for him.) A note of caution , the second floor deck railing is old and woobly, as are the stairs leading up to it.

Room Tip: Travel light, rooms are adequate but small

“Charming place, great staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012 via mobile

It's been said in other reviews, but don't expect the Waldorf Astoria level of opulence and detail, even though you'll be paying top $ for a room here in peak summer season.

What you'll find, however, are small, comfortable rooms and a nice house with lots of indoor and outdoor common spaces to call home while you cavort around Reho.

My second time staying here, and Tom is a great host, very friendly and attentive.

I would agree with other reviewers who say to go for the rooms with a private bath. If your shower is currently in use though--there are two roomy outdoor showers that will, should the morning weather be agreeable, make a nice place to wake up.

I will definitely be back.

“Inviting, Comfortable, Perfect Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

I was recommended this Bed & Breakfast by a friend who travels often, and they were exactly on point with their recommendation. The morning coffee was good (and for a guy in the coffee industry, that's a huge statement), the breakfasts were light and delicious, and the constant flow of fresh baked cookies wasn't a bad touch either. The guest house is a great size, 14 rooms totaling 32 guests at max, yet it never once feels crowded. Tom, the owner/manager, is incredibly pleasant and quite helpful if need be. The location is prime, a wonderful strip of delicious restaurants and hot spots is situated on the street directly behind the B&B, and it's only a block and half from the oceanfront, and optional parking is just as close.

After this visit, not only have I decided to return to Rehoboth Beach, but I've also already determined my lodging and several nearby restaurants that will be a regular visit for me when I'm there. This was my first B&B experience, and I was incredibly pleased, and look forward to visiting Tom, Maxine, and Rehoboth Beach, DE again soon.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are best, and opt for a private bath, it's worth the cost, and the included parking...

“Rehoboth in Early March”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2012

I was in Rehoboth Beach at the beginning of this month with my girlfriend. Our experience at the Guest House was incredible. Tom, the owner, was more than accommodating. In addition to giving us the usual tips on what restaurants to visit and what attractions to see, he made sure that we were always comfortable, joking around with us throughout our stay and even noting our personal preferences for breakfast (we were the only couple there for the first Monday or March). The rooms were charming and clean. The Guest House made our trip to Rehoboth Beach memorable, and we will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: All the rooms are large and well-kept. I recommend staying on the third floor. Room 34 is quietly tu...
