when we travel with the kids (ages 15, 13 & 8), we worry about staying in a b&b. upon entering "melissa's", our worries were over! the inn is cozy and kid-friendly, yet has all the amenities for a romantic stay. we booked the multi-bedded loft and it couldn't have been better---plenty of space, air-conditioned and clean! melissa showed us around, pointing out the well-stocked (beer, wine, etc..."on-the-house") outdoor refrigerator, a great outdoor shower after a day at the beach, a front porch with numerous chairs and couches, and a one-block proximity to the boardwalk and to the great little town of rehoboth beach. as if that wasn't enough, melissa's breakfast and extras were the finishing touches---delicious fresh fruits, home-made muffins, a "make-your-own" waffle iron that produced the lightest, tastiest waffles that we've ever had and, let's not forget the bloody mary fixins---everything from horseradish to tabasco to the lea & perrins...melissa knows EXACTLY how to make you feel welcome in her beautiful, reasonably-priced b&b. can't wait to go back!
