“Excellent, Best Hotel for the Money in Rehobeth Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2011

I thought the hotel. was excellent. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. My hotel room with two queen beds was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The Internet worked just fine. The indoor pool was refreshing after a hot day at the beach. The complimentary breakfasts were wonderful and convenient. There was a nice mix of hot and cold food in them. I wish the hotel was closer to the beach but I know that the hotel prices are more reasonable than the hotels on the boardwalk. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I decided to go back to Rehobeth Beach again, I would choose this hotel.

We stayed here 4 nights. The prices are fairly reasonable, the hotel is clean inside and outside, the staff is very courteous and helpful. Our "king suite" room was very spacious and included a very comfortable king-sized bed, dresser, desk, sofa with coffee table. Also included was a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, ironing board and iron, and a hairdryer. Bathroom was average size with plenty of towels. Around 9 p.m. each night things were mostly quiet inside, so we didn't have any sleeping issues. The hotel advertised a hot breakfast included. Breakfast was OK, the usual bagels, toast, instant oatmeal, dry cereal, mini-muffins, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, milk. Sometimes there were bananas and apples available in a limited quantity. You could also make waffles. The toasters didn't always work, and the yogurt supply usually ran out as well as the fruit. The dining area consisted of seating for 36 people - small for a 4-story hotel! Table weren't always clean - a staff person should be in the breakfast room at all times to deal with these issues. Also, the advertised indoor heated pool WAS NOT HEATED!!! It was not pleasant to be in. The other negative issue was no bottled water available in any of the vending machines on all FOUR FLOORS. I mentioned this at the front desk, and they commented that water must be a popular drink choice. We bought some water at a nearby convenience store. You can walk to Dewey Beach in 10 minutes which is very convenient and a plus! Not sure if we'd stay here again.

My entire family loves this hotel. Very family friendly and we saw cars in the parking lot from Mid Atlantic and New England states. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Rehoboth/Dewey Beach! This is our 5th stay here. Great complimentary breakfast and indoor pool was very clean and ranges from 3-5 feet deep. We stayed on the 4th Floor in a suite. You can save quite a bit of money if you book it from Monday-Thursday. It is also much quieter than on the weekends.Great restaurant next door also! Very clean with comfortable beds. Also, a great consignment shop down the street. You can walk to the FREE Dewey Beach. If you prefer Rehoboth you can take the Grotto Trolley Bus ($2.50 one way per person) and go into town or just have fun on the Boardwalk. It runs all day and late into the evening. Hope to get down to Rehoboth to stay again in November for their annual Film Festival.

Room Tip: Rates lower during the week in Summer including Suites.

Booking a hotel for a short stay in the heart of the season is very difficult in Rehoboth Beach as many have minimum stays and high rates. We were very impressed with the service as we made reservations with no minimum stay and very reasonable senior rates for a 2 queen bed suite. Our accommodations were very clean and spacious, the beds comfortable with amenities of free WiFi, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel was very quiet at night, a perk for traveling with a 4 1/2 year old grandson. The continental breakfast included hot selections of waffle, eggs and sausage as well as healthy selections of yogurt and fresh fruit and juices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The indoor pool was refreshing after a day at the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We asked for an AAA or senior rate with two beds.

Sorry can not recommend this. My lovely wife awoke me in the middle of the night to inform me of ants marching in her bed. The room has a strong mildew smell, the indoor pool was chilly. Front desk disinterested. Not a good location. Do not stay here. We won't again.

While overall this hotel was similar to those in its class, it was clear why it's rated slightly worse than the others: many of the features advertised was half-assed or not quite there.

First, they advertise high-speed internet. I stayed in two separate rooms (half a week with friends in a two-bedroom suite and half in a regular room), and the wifi network was very spotty in one room and was available but weak in the other. The hotel staff suggested that there was just one router for the entire hotel, meaning it probably wouldn't cover the hotel. Additionally, even in the lobby next to the router I was getting download speeds slower than the 3G on my phone. I spent hours trying to download a 125MB magazine onto my ipad. You certainly couldn't stream Netflix or the like. I measured the speed at less than 0.1 MBPS, not what I call high speed, so if you tend to rely on internet, be prepared.

Next, we came here (instead of similar, better rated hotels) due to their offering 2BR suites with a kitchenette. When they say kitchenette it turns out they mean a sink with a microwave and a dorm fridge, not an actual kitchenette with dishes, cooking utensils and a little stove. Other hotels that advertise this tend to have a large fridge, a dish washer and a fully stocked set of dishes. We were hoping to be able to cook light lunches there - that was simply impossible. This turned out to just be a glorified bathroom sink in addition to the standard microwave and dorm fridge. As for the "suite" aspect, it turns out the living room area is a part of one of the bedrooms in a 2BR suite, and all of the other rooms are called 1BR suites but they're really just rooms with an extended area with a sofa. There was no door between the living area and the bed area, so don't expect to be able to have one person watching TV and the other sleeping.

Otherwise, it was a pretty basic cheap hotel. It was pretty clean, but otherwise the service was horrible. The front desk would never tell you basic things like check-out times, breakfast times or the like. The breakfast was uneven - sometimes stocked and other times not. Breakfast included frozen bagels, some sort of frozen hard eggs, stale cereal, waffles and concentrate OJ. The luggage carts had some problem (probably flat tires) whereby they didn't roll if you had luggage on them. However, the hotel was about 10 minutes by car on the highway to downtown Rehoboth (though I don't know what they're talking about when they say they're a "walk" to the beach). Make sure to bring plenty of change or $5 bills for the change machines in downtown Rehoboth (there are some meters that take credit cards, but they're only the closer ones).

Room Tip: For wifi, get a room facing the front

Had to clarify the other reviews as we just spent 1 day/night at the Quality Inn. Off season price was $53 and in season is $250. King suite is a huge room with tall ceilings and more space than you can ever use. Not sure what the other rooms look like, but the double rooms are the full suites. It's a little distance from the beach, but ok as this is the off season. Couldn't find a negative thing if we tried, so a lot has changed from the previous posts. Breakfast is as you would expect, something to grab, but it's not going out to breakfast.

Definitely would stay again!
