“Spacious rooms for winter getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our President's Day weekend stay at Brighton Suites Hotel in Rehoboth Beach. This property is highly desirable in the summer, so it was a treat to stay there inexpensively in the off-season. The staff is extremely friendly (answering questions, finding out information, lending DVDs, etc.) The hotel is located one short block away from Rehoboth Avenue, and a couple of short blocks from the boardwalk. The rooms in this 4-storey hotel are true suites with 2 complete rooms. One room has a pullout couch, chairs, flat screen tv, DVD player and kitchenette (microwave, 3/4 fridge and sink). The attached room has 2 double beds, flat screen tv and DVD player. It was heaven to spread out. We could shut the door between the rooms to allow some to sleep while others watched television or played cards. It was so peaceful and quiet for sleeping! The pool was delightfully warm and fun for the kids. The pool is shallow and small, which is perfect for kids, but not for lap swimming, if that's what you seek. Our extended day package (3 nights) included bike rental, a six-pack of Dogfish Head beer (!) and two $7 vouchers per day for the neighboring restaurant, Sammy's Kitchen. The breakfasts and lunches there are delicious with generous portions. (During the high season, the restaurant is 24 hours).

Room Tip: Top floor (4th floor) so you won't hear guests walking in rooms above you.

Super close to the beach, bars and shoppes!! The sitting area in the room is pretty spacious.....the bathroom (which looks newly remolded) not so much. The bedroom is a decent size as well. The rugs in the room however are totally gross.....they definitely need to be replaced preferably with title. The beds were actually comfy but the main covers along with the curtains also need some updating because they too looked icky. You have a awesome balcony that in the summertime would be great to open and have that ocean breeze..... Staff works very hard and is super friendly! I did not use the pool but I did take a peek....It looked like it is well kept. Only one elevator but I barely used it....quicker to take the steps! Also I believe only one car per room or at least that is what I was told. We parked on the street any way.

We have been staying at Brighton Suites for the past three years and have always been quite satisfied with this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean. This year the bathrooms have been renovated which was a great perk. This hotel is centrally located in Rehoboth. It's close to everything - the boardwalk, beach, as well as a short walk to town. They provide you with chairs, towels and umbrellas for no charge. There are many good restaurants here as well. Attached to the hotel is Sammy's which is a great place for breakfast. We ate here every morning. Also down the street on Wilmington Ave. is a great Mexican restaurant called Mariachis. They have great food and excellent Sangria. We had a great few days here and can't wait to come back next fall.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not on the Wilmington Ave. side of the building.

Brighton Suites is in a good location, very convenient to the beach and shops. I did not care for the layout of the hotel and felt it to be kind of dark and dreary and in need of updating and repair. All of the carpets were filthy. Although, the lobby was nice. Dinner at the Henlopen City Oyster House, which is located just up the street on the same side as the hotel, was expensive and not worth it. I can't remember the name of the breakfast place located a hop, skip, and jump from the hotel and on the same side of the street, but it was very good; we ate breakfast there every morning. Won't be be back, sorry.
