“Great stay at the Homestead”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

My wife and I recently stayed for three nights at the Homestead. It was perhaps the most pleasant experience we have ever had at a B&B. We came with our pup and were very happy with the dog-friendly amenities. Joe and David were what I would classify as the ideal hosts--always there when you need them, but never obtrusive. There is a large fenced-in area where the dogs can run off leash while attended. The breakfasts that Joe and David served were exceptional. Our room (the Sunflower room) was nicely decorated, roomy and quiet. We will definitely come back again as soon as we can! And, by the way....Rehoboth Beach is a great place to travel with dogs....very dog friendly.....especially in October when dogs are allowed on the beach and boardwalk. Dogs or no dogs......the Homestead is a great place for a get-away.

My boyfriend and I stayed here with our dog for a long weekend and were pleasantly surprised by room, the dog friendly amenities, the service, and the delicious breakfasts. The breakfasts include a hot entree that is made to order for each person in the breakfast room. The food was delicious and they used ingredients from their garden in the back of the B&B. There were many dog amenities on the property including a fenced in area to take the dogs to go the bathroom and play with other dogs. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing the dog or your feet from the beach. They offer dog towels, bowls, and a dog sheet for the bed. They EVEN have a book that provides information on the various beaches and restaurants around Rehoboth that are dog friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this B&B and will definitely return in the future. If our experience wasn't wonderful enough, upon leaving, the innkeeper gave each couple a bag of fresh veggies from their garden since we stayed at the Homestead when their crops were ready for harvest. Dogs are not needed to stay here, but are very welcome if you are looking for a place to bring your furry friend at the beach.

Room Tip: The couple staying in the garden room said they could hear everything in the whole house.

Joe and David were wonderful! My husband and I loved it. Oskar our dog was very impressed with all of the amenities of home. It was a great B&B getaway, and we definitely made it a favorite on our list. The hospitality was very inviting and the five star breakfast was amazing.

We are looking forward to staying there again!!! The Garden Room Rocks!!

I was so happy to finally meet Joe and David! They were so accommodating to me when making our reservations since we had to change our dates a few times due to personal schedule conflicts. It didn't phase them in the least taking my numerous calls!
Our daughter and son in law raved about Homestead after spending a mini honeymoon in Rehoboth in April. We certainly know why. Joe greeted us warmly and treated us like old friends. The Homestead is a quaint immaculate bed and breakfast. Our room was spacious and lovely. The attention to detail is evident throughout their home.
Breakfast is incredible at the Homestead. Their banana pancakes were amazing and beautifully presented. I would have eaten the whole plate had I not feasted on all of the continental offerings prior to being served! Muffins, strudel, granola, yogurt, the list goes on and on. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Saturday morning we enjoyed a delicious safe sausage hash with heirloom tomatoes caprese salad from the garden. Unbelievable.
We had great conversation with other guests and Joe and David and we look forward to returning in the future!

It's hard to imagine a nicer B&B experience. Our room was immaculate and adorable, tastefully appointed, and stocked with everything we needed for our relaxing three-day stay. The grounds are gorgeous and spacious, giving one a sense of being out in the country while being mere moments away from everything. We didn't bring a pet, but the pet-friendly aspect of The Homestead makes it a true home away from home. Joe and David are the perfect hosts, there when you need them but not over-bearing, always happy to help, and great guys - knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. And the breakfasts!! Every day's menu was an absolute delight, with the omelets being our personal favorites.

We can't wait to visit The Homestead again next year. It's really perfect.

Room Tip: For added privacy, there's a cottage unit available.

I usually avoid B & B's because of annoying innkeepers and lack of privacy. But The Homestead is a quaint exception -- it's really lovely. The innkeepers, Joe and David, were kind and delightfully fussed over my dog, which pleased him to no end. They were helpful without being overbearing. Breakfast was delicious. The grounds, peaceful and perfect, with a private, spacious dog park. The room felt like a cottage with a beautiful beach scene picture I really wanted to steal (I refrained). In short: I'll be back. Loved it.

The Homestead was a perfect choice for my husband and I when we visited Rehoboth Beach. The hosts were extremely helpful and informative even before we arrived, sending us information about our arrival and our stay and confirming details prior to our trip. Joe called me the morning of our arrival and he made everything go smoothly even though we were arriving very late that night.
Our room, the Sea Glass, was beautiful, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. In addition to the big comfy queen size bed it had a closet, chest of drawers, and a huge bathroom. The breakfast was extensive, with fruit, yogurt, pastries, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, juice, and THEN they took our orders for the custom omelettes which were amazing! It was delightful to sit and relax out on the screened porch or on the grounds. The house and hosts were fantastic in every way and we would definitely go back if given the chance!
