“Loved our trip to The Homestead!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

If you want a great B&B thats close to DC, the beach, and very pet friendly, this is it. My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days with the dog and we couldn't have had a better time! Joe and David are very accommodating, and they make a wonderful breakfast every morning, which that alone made the trip worth it. We will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: There is a private cottage behind the main house that looked awesome! The downstairs room has priva...

Do you love attention to detail but want to feel right at home? Well this is definitely a place that will do this for you. Joe and David for sure make your experience at their B&B one to brag about to your family and friends. You will be immediately be taken in from the time you make your phone call to reserve your stay. Communication is key and this is something they are great at. Do you have a special request, they will make it happen and tweak it to make sure it is something you will remember for a lifetime. That being said, it is a home away from home. Clean, quiet and just down right beautiful is what we have to say about the Homestead. So now you wake up to a serene place and smell of home all over again. The selection for breakfast is great with local breads and jams or granola. Than the best thing for breakfast is homemade pancakes that are fluffy and delicious.
Go ahead dare to ask so where to go for dinner. I asked for sushi and they suggested the Cultured Pearl and even made a call ahead to make sure we could get in to this great Rehoboth dinner hot spot.

Sad that we had to leave but will be back. We have so much more to experience with their beautiful piece of land and great home. Place is pet friendly so you can even bring your pet.

My wife and I stayed here overnight in early January while house hunting for a new home at the beach. I went searching online for a pet friendly hotel in the Rehoboth area and the Homestead came up first. We were originally thinking that, because we were bringing our Lab Riley with us, we would have to settle for something like a Days Inn. We were not really looking forward to that, and are so happy to have found this instead.

The Homestead at Rehoboth B & B is wonderfully bright and cheery, and immaculately clean. All of your needs and wants have been thought of and accommodated. Our lovely lime green and exposed brick room with controllable heat and AC had a super comfortable king size bed facing a larger flat screen TV, and private bath with shower off to the side. Pillows and linens were soft, fluffy, and smelled fresh.

In the colorful lobby area are a nice assortment of your favorite coffees and teas, books, movies on DVD, and current magazines. Breakfast is served here as well, and it's so good, it's ridiculous. There is a wrap around covered, screen enclosed porch just outside that's the perfect place to solve the world's problems.

Riley was happy to avail himself of the large fenced in and lit pet area with thoughtfully placed comfortable chairs for his humans. Plenty of paved parking and well maintained grounds round out this beautiful B & B.

The Innkeepers definitely need to change their title to something like Friend Makers. That's the kind of experience you'll have here.

In closing, I'll tell you what I told Riley: Stay!

My husband and I stayed here over the past weekend and can't stop recommending this place to our friends and family. We stayed in the cottage which was perfect for us and our 7 month old yellow lab. The cottage is very private with a nice kitchen area and living room. Our bed and bedding was so comfortable. We loved the fenced in back yard with the grill and tons of relaxing furniture set up in a nice decked sitting area. The first night that we were there Joe and David invited us over for cocktails and appetizers and we had the pleasure of chatting with them and the 5 other guests staying in the main house. Wonderful people and many laughs! Joe and David made us feel like we have known them forever. I believe these guys will be very successful with this B&B as they will do just about anything to make your stay perfect.

Both of the breakfasts we had this weekend were amazing! Made to order omelets, banana pancakes with home made blueberry syrup, bacon, sausage, bagels, fruit, banana bread. Spicy Bloody Marys and Mimosa Sundays!!! YUM!! And everything is presented so beautifully.

The only downside of this trip is that we didn't stay longer! I really enjoyed the town of Rehoboth and would have liked more time to explore. Loved the Dog Fish Head Brewery and had a great meal at Pig and Fish. We lucked out with the weather and spent both of our days on the beach playing with our pup! There was a puppy plunge on Saturday...cutest thing ever ;).

Thanks again Joe and David for the amazing hospitality. Looking forward to returning soon to this perfect little getaway destination for us and our pup!

We stayed for a mid-winter weekend and could not have been happier. It was clean and neat and the breakfast was fabulous both days. The innkeepers are more like friends who are having you over! Go, you won't be sorry.

My husband and I stayed one night without our dog. We attended a beer dinner at Dogfish Head Pub and wanted to stay somewhere nearby. But we will definitely be back and will absolutely bring our dog next time. The room was clean and comfortable (though I wish I brought my own pillow, the ones provided were very fluffy, just not my preference). I did not realize when I booked our room (Bay Breeze) that the bathroom was not attached. There was no one else staying at the B&B that night so it wasn't a big deal. In the future I would love to book the Sunflower room or maybe even the Garden room (both have bathrooms attached). The real draw to this place though is the amazing breakfast and wonderful owners! Dave and Joe were so kind and easy to talk to. And the breakfast was to die for...fresh fruit, homemade banana bread, assorted bagels etc local jams and cream cheese, an adorable mini pitcher of orange juice and best of all, warm flaky delicious quiches with a side of bacon. I was so impressed by the level of care that they put into everything.

Room Tip: If you want a bath tub stay in the bay breeze room, but be aware that the bathroom is not attached...

My fiance and I love this place which is ironic considering we hate the beech! The first thing that sold us was how excepting they are of dogs so we booked a stay and brought him with us. When we arrived it was raining and they where apoligetic for the weather and gave us a free up grade which was really sweet! They didin't have to do that! Thay don't control the weather. My fiance keeps asking when we are going back, and from him that is saying alot. I love that place and can't wait to revisit! We have a new puppy and hope she enjoys it as much as we did!!

Room Tip: The sunflower room is worth the extra money!
