“Delicious food, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

The pink building and festive sign was, honestly, rather off-putting. We’d walked by it so many times without an urge to go inside. But we’re so glad we finally did! Mariachi has a welcoming staff and comfortable atmosphere (including two outdoor decks with a view), a menu that includes not only Mexican but also Salvadoran and other Latin favorites, delicious food and reasonable prices. The moment I tasted the pupusas, with accompanying slaw, I knew the chef was Salvadoran because the flavor and texture were absolutely authentic (yes, I’ve been to El Salvador!). Even though it was listed as an appetizer, it was enough for a meal. My husband loved the chile rellenos, and the rice and beans, which are so often a throwaway at Mexican restaurants, would have made a great meal in themselves. We will definitely come back!

“Delicious, a must go!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

The food here was GREAT! The Ceviche here is awesome (and I'm from Peru), so was the Lomo Saltado, as well as the Flan!

Service was on point, and the atmosphere is very nice. A strong recommendation to anyone!

“Great food, but arrive before the crowds”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We had a delicious dinner here. The mariscos saltados (sort of a light seafood stew) was simply superb. The calamari was tender, the scallops were soft and not at all overcooked and the sauce was deeply flavorful. The enchiladas were not nearly as good - not bad, but nothing special. And it's hard to go wrong with quesadillas on the kids menu. After all, they're basically grilled cheese sandwiches. But that mariscos saltados! Scrumptious!!

The place was not very busy when we arrived around 5:30 on a Sunday evening, but by the time we left, it was full and there was a line out the door. This a Labor Day weekend, but I understand the place can get crowded on most weekends. As the place became more crowded, the staff became more harried.

If you go, order one of the specialities. That's where this restaurant shines. If you order typical Mexican food, you'll probably be satisfied, but not wowed.

“Yum-Yum-Yum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Very yummy, price is a little more than expected, but you are at the beach. Sat on the 2nd floor outdoor patio, nice to overlook the street. Great Service
