July 2012, I bought two - 2 hour group surfing lessons for my teenage children. Initially, I called and scheduled a date and time for the lesson, met the surf instructors at Rehoboth beach where I was told to go, then we all travelled to the State Park (where you have to pay to get in) only to have the instructors take one look at the beach and waves and say that it wasn't the right conditions for the surfing lesson that day. OK... I can deal with that - although I took the day off work and got up at 7am with 2 very excited teens to do this. I was told by the surf instructors that someone would contact me later that day to reschedule.
Several days later - with no call, I called the surf school. I was told that I just got missed on the call back list and they were sorry but they were booked and I should call back in a couple of weeks. I called back only to get the same response - "call back we are booked". Well, on the 3rd call, I was told that it was now close to the end of the season and they could no longer accommodate my children. I paid in advance for these lessons...No refund was EVER given although I was promised one. I continued to call several times and left messages, as well as send an email with no further response.
I will never attempt to book through this surfing school again. I have told anyone who even suggested that they might want surf lessons not to contact this school and will continue to share my story with co-workers and friends.
