I stayed there one night with my wife and two teen ages daugthers on our way to Virginia Beach. We also had the dog with us.The place is very well conceive for pet owner. Our room had a second exit on the interior yard where the pool is located. Lot of space to walk the dog.The breakfeast was ok and the restaurant seems inviting .The room was quiet, confortable and clean. All in all, a nice place even if some part of the hôtel are still in renovation.Could have stayed longer. Not a luxury hôtel by any means but convenient and affordable. The dip in the poll was very much appreciated after the long trip.

This Best Western needs a lot of renovating in their rooms. The renovations are underway in the restaurant which has very good italian food, we were pleasantly surprised as it was so quiet. But the overall appearance of the hotel makes it look dirty even tho it isn't. Plus to this hotel is the closeness to 95 and the desk people were very friendly. Overall I probably would not stay here again

Great room rates and they allow dogs, the continental breakfast is't all that but........the sheets are fresh and the room is clean, no bugs!!, no fleas!!! and pleanty of resturants in the area. Our son is at Delaware state university in Dover De and there are no hotels in Dover that allow four legged family members.

“Best Western Newark, DE Not bad for a place that allows dogs”

We recently stayed here because if was one of the few hotels close to longwood gardens that accepted dogs. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The room could use some updating but was very clean. They are adding a new section to the hotel and so construction was going on by the pool. What we liked about the room was the two entries; one leading the the corridor and lobby and another to the pool area. Next to the pool area there is a grass section that allowed us to walk our dogs. The hotel is behind the end of a highway but suprisingly enough, it was very quiet. The staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was nothing to get excited about but it was nice to have fresh coffee. The hotel is accross the street from a plaza with a grocery store, burlington coat factory, bostone market and other stores. This was very convenient for us. There is a restaurant in the hotel but we did not try it. The hotel has a listing of directions to area attractions and restaurant, I recommend you do not use these directions. We tried several times and got lost every time. The directions were wrong and we finallly grabbed a map and followed our own directions.

“Not again”

Stayed here one night, but won't again. You get what you pay for, which isn't much except traffic noise. Continental breakfast made me wonder what diseases the previous patrons had deposited on the "bucket-o-cream cheese" knife.
