“Loved the Ramada Newark Delaware”

My family and I stayed overnight at the Ramada Newark Delaware in September 2008. The front desk staff was quite pleasant upon our arrival, and our check out was extremely easy, just with a phone call to the front desk. Our room was comfortable, extremely clean, and quite spacious. The queen size beds were a welcome treat! We would not hesitate to stay at the Ramada in the future. This is hotel is definitely top notch!

“Smells”

Ramada Newark

Jul 17, 2008

Pros - clean bedding, Refrigerator and microwave in room, quiet room, bathroom clean but on the older side. All staff very very nice and personable. Breakfast - had a large assortment of danish, bagels, cereal, etc.
Cons - smells like an old bowling alley. Couldn't get over it. The entire hotel just smells. It is a non-smoking hotel, so the smell must be coming from the dust and dirt stuck on the grate on the a/c unit.
If this smell doesn't offend you or if you just don't know what I am talking about, this hotel is recommended for it's reasonable rates.

“Comfortable, but nothing special”

There was renovations going on during my stay, and since they are trying to improve the place, I won't ding them on that. The place was o.k., but seemed to be simply a room with a bed and television. Suprisingly to me, the on-premisis restaurant is closed on Mondays. There was no business center either. Fortunately, there are lots of stores and dining establishments nearby. The place was clean and the staff friendly.

“New & improved!!!!!!!”

Ramada Newark

Jan 23, 2008

This hotel has completely renovated it's rooms. They are new bright comfortable and the pillowtop mattress rivals any Hilton/Marriott brand. They have a winter special of $89. The restaurant food was delicious and the staff was very nice. Attached pictures of this hotel. Give it a break it is GREAT!!

This was known as the "Delaware Inn and Conference Center" when I stayed there. The rooms have recently been renovated. The look is retro 60s/70s -- kind of a neat throw-back but close to looking a little too retro . . . The beds were comfortable enough. The price was okay ($66/night). There was hi-speed internet, though not wireless. They could not provide an ethernet cord -- they were all out -- but at least I carry one in my truck. The breakfast was average -- cereal (though only whole milk), juice, waffle maker, bagels, ok coffee and some fruit.

All-in-all not a bad place to stay in the area, and is probably a place I'd stay again as long as the price stayed so low.
