Four of us dined at “Pinang” last evening. As advertised, the menu features both Malaysian and Japanese dishes, and we tried a variety. Our usual dumplings and sushi rolls were well priced and good but not outstanding. We were less satisfied with our Malay selections, perhaps because of unfamiliarity. However, the Baby Oyster Omelet had great flavor. “Pinang” is in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The large room is pleasantly divided and nicely decorated. Staff is friendly, but delivery of our food was poorly timed.
