This courtyard is located ON the U-Del property, as such it can be a little tricky to find. The property is very well maintained, rooms are clean and up-to-date, breakfast is excellent. I wish they had a manager's reception though.

I combined returning my daughter to college at the University of Delaware with a little mommy time. The hotel was wonderful. big fluffy pillows, a quiet room with comfy chair, roomy bathroom and a nice little gym. Fresh fruit on the reception desk, very cheerful and helfpful staff and a fun cupcake construction site display that showed whimsy and fun. I loved the lobby and the fireplace, cozy couches, internet access (not all of us have laptops-just our kids LOL) and magazines and books to peruse.
Breakfast is cooked to order and no rushing. The coffee and tea bar in the lobby was well stocked and made coffee in the room even nicer.
My only complaint was the humming of the fridge which I solved by unplugging at night.
This is definitely my first choice when visiting UDel although it is very popular and can be full when the campus has an event.

Stayed overnight for a wedding this past weekend. The staff is courteous and always greet you upon entering the hotel. I Have to agree wuth previous posts, finding it is a little difficult when you are not familiar with the area. The rooms are typical business traveler oriented, furnishings are OK and the bed comfortable. All in all a decent hotel.
The breakfast (not included) is just OK.

We have stayed here several times since our son entered UD. Always exceptionally clean, comfortable, warm and friendly.
The only downside is that the Courtyard is the best/closest Marriott choice to UD, so be prepared to pay considerably more for the convenience. I believe they sell out often so this would be a good location for another Marriott hotel!

My family of 3 stayed 2 nights. The entire hotel is nonsmoking. While we were there, the hotel was booked due to a conference and also due to new student/parent orientation at the University of Delaware. We made our reservation through priceline.
When my husband checked in, Erika initially could not find a room for us because of maintenance issues. After a few minutes, she found a room and also provided 3 breakfast vouchers to compensate for the inconvenience. Our room was located on the 2nd floor right above the indoor pool (we looked out at rooftop air conditioning units), directly across from the elevator, and near the ice machine. I was grateful I’d brought a floor fan so the noise didn’t bother us too much. We’d reserved a standard room with 2 queen beds, but we were assigned a large room with 2 queens and a sleep sofa; very nice. Unfortunately, when my husband opened the sleep sofa, he discovered dirty, bunched up sheets. The hotel staff quickly brought us up fresh sheets along with beverage vouchers to compensate for the inconvenience.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful; Erika and Michael (both on evening shift) were especially so. Michael provided clear directions to the post office and nearby attractions (you’ll need a car to get to local restaurants – don’t miss the crab bread at Klondike Kate’s). Raymond, the breakfast chef, greeted us brightly each morning and made tasty omelets. The breakfast buffet, served in the large hotel lobby, was a definite plus and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed using the fitness room, indoor pool, and spa – all of which appeared to be clean and well-maintained.
In short, there were a few glitches during our stay, but the hotel staff strived to make things right. We would stay here again.
*An important note: Even though the hotel address is listed as 400 Pencader Way, you’ll need to use 200 New London Road for online / GPS directions.*
