“Well Done”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

We stayed for four nights and were very comfortable. The room was huge with both a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. Unfortunately we only used the room to sleep. We did not use the huge pool area or the internet. We did have the breakfast which was pretty good. A decent variety of items and the tea water was hot, staff was extremely attentive and helpful.

We needed an overnight motel near Slaughter Beach for the annual horseshoe crab census in May. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was very clean. Also the complimentary breakfast wasn't fancy but it had a waffle machine and microwavable egg and sausage biscuits in addition to the normal cereals, bagels and pastries - a definite plus!

The service was excellent. The person at the Front Desk, Emma, was so nice to everyone, especially the children. She helped us find things to do and even gave the children some of her seashells that she has collected on the Delaware beaches.

Swimming pool is open from 7 am to 10 pm, making it very convenient to take a swim whenever we had a little time.

Booked this room at the last minute when we were supposed to meet someone further south but plans fell through so we decided to stay anyway glad we did. Roomy and the jacuzzi was heavenly. The staff was friendly and the place was immaculate. Will definitely stay again and go to the beaches and come back at night.

We had the suite w/ the jacuzzi. Room was nice, however there was a annoying dripping sound coming from above the window. Breakfast was below average, your standard motel fair, but under prepared. It was not layed out well, tight quaters, could not handle the volume. But the location was great, a nice distance from all the hustle at Rehobeth.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2012

I am very pleased that my husband and I picked this motel to stay in for our little get-a-way weekend. We wanted some place close to the outlets but not too far away from our kids. So this was perfect and had everything we wanted in a room and the location. Everything went pretty smoothly from check in to check out. Only real big problem was the pool & hot tub area was dirty and gritty feeling and water was very cloudy. We decided to leave after only 5 minutes to return to our spacious room and Jacuzzi. Thank goodness we had a Jacuzzi or we would have been extremely upset, but the Jacuzzi was the BEST! The staff was nice and helped us whenever we asked. Only small complaints other than the pool area was that the remote’s batteries were completely dead when we first arrived so I had to go to front desk to have them changed and the TV in the room was way too small for the size of the room. It was also set too far away from the chairs/desk/Jacuzzi/bed on top of the fireplace. Other than that we were satisfied and will defiantly stay again in the near future.

Room Tip: Dont miss out and get a room with the Jacuzzi!!!!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2011

While in Delaware to mourn the loss of my sister, we stayed at the AmericInn in Milford. Upon checking in, the staff treated us as though we were family.

The funeral was on a Friday evening and we were looking for a space to have some sort of gathering afterwards, as a restaurant would be too busy to serve us. The manager offered us the conference room in the hotel, which was a load off our minds.

However, not knowing the funeral plans at the time we booked the room, we had only booked our room until Thursday, and the hotel was fully booked for the weekend due a large event going on in neighboring Dover. Upon hearing this, we set about finding another place to stay, even though we had to cater and host the gathering at AmericInn the next night. Wilma then shuffled some things around and allowed us to stay in our original room for the duration of our stay and if that weren’t enough, she had even made a small meal for us to serve at the gathering.

The management and staff at the hotel made what was a grievous, unfortunate trip, very comfortable and heartwarming. We highly recommend Wilma and her entire staff to anyone traveling to Milford or Rehoboth. They will welcome you and treat you like family. Thanks again!
