“Not cheap, soso atmosphere but good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

The restaurant is on DE 1 on the the way to the Del beaches. The big gold painted propeller tells you you found it..
The food is very good and there is a great variety. The service was good. The food came hot and the wait was tolerable. The food is not cheap. The place is a bit noisy and the atmosphere is soso. We came for good seafood and found it here.

“A very good restaurant with excellent seafood shop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

The restaurant is on route No. 1 between Frederica and Milford. You can easily recognize the place because of its big propeller in front. They serve great seafood, crabs, fishes and steaks. They have an excellent seafood shop connected to the restaurant so you can eat there on your way to the beach and buy fresh products for your beach house. They are very friendly and provide good service.

“Great Seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

This is the only seafood retaurant between Dover and the beaches. Fish is daily fresh and good tasting. Nice wait staff
Good crabs and fried fish.

“Disappointed...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

We stopped in early evening for a light dinner. Party of 3 and we ordered cream of crab soup, Louisana Shrimp Po'Boy, Seaford Club Sandwich, and a Crab Melt.

The soup was good, nice flavor, seasoned just right. The main courses, were average AT BEST. The Po'boy had 5 SMALL shrimp on a roll. No lettuce, no tomato, a DROP of what they called, "Spicy Mayo". It had no flavor, was dry and a disappointment. The wife had the Seafood Club, her comment said it all... "I've had better seafood at SUBWAY!". The Mom-in-law had the crab melt, it was so overcooked that she had to use a steak knife to cut it into pieces!

The prices were too high, portions too small, and overall a poor visit.

“We ate too much again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

Medings is close to our home, and on some nights we can smell the heavenly aroma of cooking seafood. They have a dish called Fat Crabs which are soft shells deep fried in a coating and then covered with crab imperial. With an order of "Old Bay French Fries" and cole slaw, I ate as though it was the last supper. The wife wasn't that happy with the crab cakes, but they were still good. There was a bit of a wait, but they now have the outside deck open. As all seafood places it cost a pretty penny, but didn't break the bank, and was most enjoyable. The service was very good. On some nights they have old cars come and display and they get some real beauties. Just look for the giant ship propellar out front.
